Like Ray Allen said last season (was it last season?), "Is it possible for both to lose?"

No way in hell would I ever cheer for the Lakers, that's like cheering for the Scabs or the Yankees. I'd rather see Lebron win a title.

I'd cheer for a perpetual tie.

But seriously I'd have to go Heat.

No way that LA gets 17 banners. I'd be cheering furiously for Lebron, Wade and Bosh to stop that nonsense.

I would rather let the Heat have 8 championships (or whatever the number was) like Lebron promised them then let the Lakers get 1

I say the same thing each time this question comes up.  I rooted for the Pistons in '88 and '89 to beat the lakers.  After rooting for Bill Laimbeer to win a title rooting for Lebron will be easy.

This is a no-brainer.  Seeing the lakers win a pre-season game puts me in a bad mood.

wouldn't watch it and i'd black the whole thing out, 5 years later someone would ask me "who won the nba championship in 2012" I'd come up with it was a lockout season, no winner

I never cheer for injuries, but I could perhaps hope for something that results in long suspensions for next season.

And as much as I hate the Lakers, I at least have developed a begrudging respect for them.  I have nothing but contempt for Miami.

All a Miami/Lakers finals would do is make me ridiculously unhappy regardless of the outcome.  I doubt i'd watch much of it.

Would you cheer for the Lakers if there was a LA/MIA Finals?

As much as it pains me to say, if the situation was presented I would root for LA to beat the Heat.
I'd root for another lockout before game 1 that cancels the series    :P

Not gonna lie and I hate to say it. I would root for the Lakers... At this point in his career Ive learned to respect Kobe. I would rather see him win another ring than watch LeBron succeed at winning his first. Sorry guys, I really hate lebron that much.

The LA Lakers have 11 championships.

No matter what the pundits say they still have 6 more to tie us.

Think of it this way: it would be like the Celtics moving to Las Vegas, then Boston gets an expansion team and Las Vegas fans downplay our team because they have 17 TITLES and we have none.

Those 5 titles belong to Minneapolis not LA.

This actually brings me to an interested question that I never thought of before; are their 17 banners in the staples center for the Lakers? Do they take the credit for the titles not even won in that arena?

With that in mind...I'd root for the Lakers.

The way the Heat were constructed is disgusting to me. I hate the way the players have so much power.

I understand it's a "superstars league" but to me the Heat stand for everything that's wrong with the game today.
