it's gonna be a short run.  More like a brisk jog to the front porch to pick up your news paper.

Failure.  Between this and relying on Shaq for our title hopes last year... I've lost a lot of faith in Danny Ainge.

For how Portland reportedly felt about Felton and Crawford, and for what Portland got for Camby I can't believe Portland wouldn't have moved Crawford or Felton for JO and a 2nd.

I've been a big supporter of Danny in the past, but the lack of a move really hurts.  What was it that he said to Red during that Christmas dinner?

Even if Kaman were to be bought out, which I doubt, there is no chance he picks us.

We needed to trade for a big this deadline, standing pat was the biggest mistake he could make. Just ridiculous.

Well it's clearly Chris Kaman or bust... kinda like how last year it was Shaq or bust.  Time to fire Ainge.

Made the biggest GM mistake ever: overvalued own players.

But I'm not sure why JO, Wilcox, and/or Dooling didn't get moved with a future 2nd or something.

Would you rather he send a first round pick for crappy size of the likes of Jordan Hill?

I'm disappointed he didn't get some frontcourt help, but none of the options out there seemed worth a first round pick. Only the Camby deal was one that was interesting but I can see why the Blazers would prefer Thabeet/Flynn to Wilcox/O'Neal. The C's would have had to up the pick to a first rounder.

What player do you think would be available for such a package?

Even if NO buys out Kaman, what would be Kaman's motivation to come to Boston instead of going to Miami?

I presume Danny held hard lines on trades for any of the Big Three and potentially overvalued Avery Bradley.

However, seeing the Camby deal is frustrating. Especially knowing that Danny was on the the phone with Portland talking about Pierce. If he proposed Wilcox's contract and a 2013 1st, would they have listened?  Seems like he missed an opportunity there.

Is it unfair to say that more collateral damage of the Perkins trade was Danny's newfound reluctance to pull the trigger this year?
"      “I can make a trade every day if I want to, but that's not going to help us. A trade that would get us better rarely comes along. They're very difficult to find. Good trades are very difficult in our league and don't happen very often.”

I'm not happy we couldn't get at least one big to replace jo or wilcox. With our only bigs being kg bass and stiemsma not sure what we're going to do if one of the 3 can't play.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

You couldn't get a used condom for JO and a 2nd.  And how in the world would either Crawford or Felton help when this team's weakness is size and rebounding?

I'm perfectly happy with no moves.  The team is playing pretty well, they've got two picks in the upcoming draft, Rondo and Pierce are sticking around, we'll probably be able to keep Bass and sign Jeff Green if we want and still have enough cap space to compete for the best free agent on the market and we would almost certainly be able to bring back Ray and KG for less money if they want to keep playing.

I love that McHale and Bird and DJ retired as Celtics.  If Ray and KG and Pierce do as well without hindering the team's rebuilding process, that's fine with me.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'm a little dissapointed.

I guess there wasn't anything worth what we have.

Hopefully a few players shake loose via buyout.

The answer is exactly what it got us which was nothing...
