Portland and New Jersey are engaged in advanced talks on a deal that would send Gerald Wallace to the Nets, a league source tells Y!

- Woj

Really interested in what the price is. I'm guessing something to do with Humphries?

They could package Okur's expiring deal with a draft pick or two.

if i am nj and atlanta is looking to move josh smith, i would rather do that and keep the picks

brooke lopez and filler for smith would seem to make some sense for both teams

With some luck, I can see the Celtics putting a contender on the floor next season, but I think Portland should really consider just trading everyone and not planning on being competitive for 2-3 while rebuilding.

I can see them clearing out Felton, Wallace and Crawford.

Batum is a RFA in two months.  No need to send any key player to Portland to get him.  If Danny wants him, he can pay him this off-season.

Camby, too.

Rumors that LA now showing interest in Crawford. Not sure what this means about the Beasley rumors.

Could be that Minnesota wasn't going to get a first round pick for Beasley like they hoped and pulled out.

LA seems to be determined to get another perimeter player to help them in the playoffs.

Maybe I am dreaming but I would love Gerald Wallace and Jamal Crawford for JO, Wilcox, Dooling and a first rounder. I would give up a first rounder to legitimately contend for a title this season.
I don't think that deal makes the C's contenders this season.  You only have 96 minutes to split between PP, Ray and Pietrus currently.   You'd add GW and JC to that rotation is a bit of overkill especially while we're so thin up front.

I'd rather have Camby if the price is right.  at least he'd address the biggest weakness right now.

Not really, as a RFA Portland can and will match any offer for him...

Camby, Thomas.

Camby would be a fun get (big upgrade on Stiemsma and the answer to our rebounding woes), but I'm not sure Ainge would be willing to deal out any of his young assets to get him.  Maybe JJJ.

Doc recently had some very complimentary remarks about Camby.

In a Crawford/Wallace scenario, I'd imagine Wallace would see a ton of time at the 4, as would Crawford at the 1.

Rumors it's Okur, Shawne Williams, and a protected 1st for Wallace.

Basically, Wallace for a pick and expirings.
