I've not seen anything else beyond that initial rumor.

No other independent confirmation, though this sort of deal is almost always done last at the deadline. No press member with sources is wasting precious time nailing down a Marquis Daniels salary dump, and the teams likely wouldn't submit it till the deadline in case they need Daniels or the cap space for a bigger move.

Interesting. By sending out Barbosa, the Raptors are now below the minimum salary floor. They need to keep Anthony Carter, or add a similar vet minimum type deal, according to Raps beat writer:

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone here that wouldn't make that deal even faster than that.
