I haven't thought so for a while now, but, IMO, I think the win tonight against the Heat further cements his place in this team for the rest of the season.

Their front office must be thinking that this team, maybe with a tweak or two, could make a legitimate run in the play-offs.

Regardless, the next day or two will be extremely interesting.

Shocking words from Dwight: ``I’ve been telling them for the past 2 or 3 weeks now that I want to stay and finish the season.’’

Quote
Dwight: "I told them that I want to finish this season out and give our team, fans hope for the future. I feel they have to roll the dice."

Quote
D-12: "I expect (to stay).. I’ve talked to Rich, Dan DeVos, Alex and Otis and I want to finish the season out. I think we can make a run."

Losing him for nothing isn't a bad option.

More likely to get stuck in mediocrity by trading him than by letting leave without getting anything in return and rebuilding through the draft with top five draft picks.

According to Mark Stein he told the Magic he wants to stay through the end of the season.

If I was Otis, I'm desperately trying to trade him before 3 pm Thursday. You just cannot let Dwight Howard walk away for nothing.

I am almost expecting to hear of the OMG offer for Dwight the day  of the deadline. The one that they just cannot pass up. I hope it is not the Lakers but it would not surprise me to see it happen. But, Orlando ownership has a long history of making all the wrong decisions, so the possibility of him staying is very, very real..barring that OMG offer from the Fakers...

Personally, I hope he does stay for the end of the season. Even though we have little to no chance in convincing him to come to Boston, that is a much better chance than none at all. So, selfishly, I hope he stays and Danny and Doc do their best performance of their careers and sell him on all the beauty that becoming a part of Celtics folklore would entail. The passionate fans, great town, culture, winning tradition, great ownership and coach that wont cause his hearing to be lost by 30.

I would be shocked beyond belief if Dwight Howard signed with Orlando in the off season. I only hope Orlando is foolish enough to believe he will resign with them in the off season because it will give us the slightest crack of hope of building our future team around a monster in the post.

If Orlando doesn't trade Dwight now, they're the guy who thinks that stripper really likes them.

my hope is that they keep Dwight

and int he playoffs they get rid of either miami or chicago, whoever they play

we can beat miami or chicago, but i don't think we have enough in us to beat both...

It would mean the team he signs on for as a free agent will not have been gutted.
