Does GS have a first round pick?

Utah has their pick (top-7 protected)

My take on this deal is two-fold.

First, it's a good move for Milwaukee because Ellis is more of a certainty than Bogut, due to Bogut's injury issues.  Additionally, Ellis is probably the replacement for Jennings, and probably a better player.  Jennings is going to leave, and I don't think Milwaukee should keep him and Ellis.  I think that would be a worse fit than Ellis/Curry.

Second,  while it's a big gamble, if it works out, GS makes out like a bandit.  Bogut is a legit C, and would make a very good frontcourt partner with Lee.  The added benefit is obviously allowing Curry to finally be free from Ellis.

Overall, I'd say it's a fair trade.  Milwaukee gets a little more roster certainty, but GS gets a possible home run if Bogut is healthy.  GS took the bigger risk, but also stands to reap the bigger reward.

I say the Warriors won this trade by a bit. Bogut has never been healthy and Jax is a problem for this franchise and now he's back here in the Bay Area. Milwaukee can now move Jennings and get some solid piece off of him.

Also, GSW  had to deal  Udoh. I don't understand why didn't they just gave Beans and held on to Kwame's expiring deal and has to give Udoh, unless that's the deal maker.

The reason I say they win by a bit is because, if they get Bogut somewhat healthy in the future, they'll be legit. The get that defensive big they've been wanting since Beans became stupid. With Bogut and Lee, there will be plenty of rebounds. And a bit more green light on Steph Curry, and also gives room for Klay Thompson to develop to be their starting 2. Klay is a scorer, and now has the platform develop into a legit one in the future. Losing Udoh is a tough one though (good thing I haven't bought my Udoh jersey yet).

Also, as Stephen A said, "They gave up KWAMAY BROWN!" That is a win on its own.

Bay Area is in a buzz. Time for me to get a Bogut jersey.

Interesting trade idea from a Bucks fan -- trade Monta Ellis to New Jersey for Memo Okur and their first round pick.

Bring Monta in alongside Deron to entice Dwight Howard further into joining their team in the off-season.

I think Bogut's presence is going to hurt David Lee's offensive output.

Less space to work with + more playing time at power forward instead of at center.

I kind of disagree. Lee likes to stay out side and hit those elbow jumpers. He does sometimes go to the hoop hard (love David Lee doin this) but he's really comfortable in pick and pops. The fact that he doesn't have to play C is a big plus too. He doesn't want to play C, he was on record on that when he came here in the Bay.

More time at PF is a GOOD thing.  Lee is not a C.

They could lose enough to get in the top 7. If so I would absorb Jackson to swap one of our picks for theres if they have it.

Still dont get why they put Udoh in the package. Milwaukee has promising 4's, and they need shooters. GSW has all kinds of shooters, and they need healthy bigs.

Great trade for both teams.

The ellis experiment has run its court, they havent made the playoffs since 2007.

It was time to part with the undersized chucking SG aka Ellis.

Bogut/Lee/Curry is a playoff team if they can stay healthy. Warriors have a ton of talent and young guys to surround that core with.

GSW will be a playoff team for years to come starting next year.

All they had was ilyasova and gooden up front. They were playing a lot of minutes.

I think this trade make Milwaukee better this year. Interesting, it could be very good trade for Boston. If Milwaukee's in playoff, we will get their second round pick, probably #45 (top 44 protected).
Getting another draft pick in this draft...could Danny found another Powe,Gomes,Davis with that 45. pick?

He must have been the deal maker Commish. Bucks might not wanna pull the trade if Udoh is not involved and GSW obliged. They know Udoh's potential and might have offered Beans instead but Bucks don't want it.

Ekpe Udoh and Larry Sanders. That's one heck of a defensive big duo (potentially).

I disagree - I think his effenciency will improve. He's naturally a PF, he was just forced to play C on the teams was on. I've always thought D.Lee could really flourish next to a strong defensive C, and Bogut provides that.
