if ray isn't going to resign for a good price, i would move him, no use keeping him here as we ain't winning nothing this year.

one way would be to the thunder for

aldrich+cook(sefolosha if i could)+hayward+2012 OC pick

then you could use that pick and send it to sota with jermaine and get beasley.

Another move you could make of this, would be to send cook+hayward+dooling + bucks 2nd rounder to denver for anderson and rudy

Agreed ; but Ray already has said several times he has no desire to move his family or leave Boston.  He wants to be here and he'll be perfect to come off the bench for a couple more seasons

The problem is that everyone is saying you won't get even a #1 in this draft for Ray....

If you took back some salary then you could get a pick back for him. For instance the Nets are offering the Bobcats a 1st rounder they got via Houston to take back the contracts of Jordan Farmar and Johan Petro.

idk where you read that - We could have Indiana's pick in half a second for Ray.  That's just a terrible idea IMO tho

I hadn't heard that but if its true I'd love Ray to become our instant offense off the bench guy.  If we sign Green for next year it would be great if PP can move to backcourt and still handle the defensive assignments.

with ray, jjj, stiesma, pietrus, bradley and bass
nice team

I'd be stoked if you could steal any first rounder from someone for Ray, & then turn around and sign Ray back next year.

I've read it on ESPN, Hoops World and Hoops Hype who've all ran stories on this topic. Also, ESPN has mentioned it in studio....

I've read nothing to suggest that Indiana would do that.  In fact, I've read that Indiana is reluctant to trade its first rounder and won't trade it for anyone with an expiring contract.

I also think that common sense suggests it is a bad idea to trade that pick for a rental.
