If I had to make a trade, it would be for RAllen.  Having said that, I would make a final run with what I have and make personel decisions in the Summer

I voted yes but it doesnt mean i want to blow it up or go all in. I would like to see some minor changes before the deadline, while keeping our cap space in tact for the future and maybe picking up a nice small role piece to move forward with as well.

Agreed.  If DA trades PP or Rondo I will be miserable and unhappy.

I'm hoping for a minor move where Bass or JO get moved for a pick (although why anyone would want JO's carcass is beyond my understanding...even with the expiring contract).

I would be OK if Ray gets traded.

I am hoping for a trade before the deadline, but I do not think it will be for anyone on a long contract.

I too am hoping for a trade(s) at the deadline.

What other teams are willing to part with could drive our decision to give it one last go or blow it up.

I'm hoping for a trade that will give this team a longer playoff run in what I believe will be the last run for the big three.  And conversely I'm really hoping we don't make any trades that indicate we're packing it in and heading straight for the lottery.  But given the assets we have, I just don't see any major impact trades happening for us.

If we don't make a move to grab a big I  think the extended minutes for kg will prematurely end his career. I expect jo and wilcox to be traded for bench players. I think if you can't get bench help you might as well trade some of the big three because you can't win with a big rotation of kg, steamer, bass and jjj (especially because doc refuse to play jjj).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

i'd be shocked if there wasn't a significant trade.  It makes no sense for us to just head into the playoffs with this deeply flawed roster.  Either improvements have to be made (need size) or we dump our assets for draft picks and prepare for the future.  I don't see the point in getting thrashed in the first round.

I'm hoping Danny Ainge blows it up, but that's mostly because I trust DA, and not because I don't like the Big-4. If the Celtics trade one of the big 4, that means Danny got the value he wanted. Danny's valuation for all our assets seems to be high, so coolcoolcool.

The combined expiring contracts of JO, Wilcox, Marquis Daniels, Sasha Pavlovic, and Keyon Dooling--none of whom appear to be in the rotation at this moment--total just under $13.2 million.

I would expect any combination of those players, with perhaps a low draft pick and/or cash considerations, to bring back a rotation player on a short contract.

Is another playoff team capable of making an offer for Chris Kaman? I haven't surveyed league rosters/payrolls, but if the Hornets can't find another buyer, wouldn't cash and payroll savings be better than simply letting Kaman walk?

I have to say yes...I love this team and the vets on it. But something HAS to be changed, otherwise we keep getting OT wins, or close losses with blowouts sprinkled in and finish a little over .500. I'm really hoping Josh Smith comes to Boston in a deal NOT involving Rondo, I'd love to see Emeka Okafor in Boston, and I wouldn't mind Stephen Jackson either. I don't just want scrubs out of the D-League or from Europe, I want players to help this year AND next.

Yes - but only to shore up weaknesses.

I'd rather that Danny doesn't touch the Core Four, though....just add a big, somehow. I know that getting a quality big without doing that (or touching that Clippers pick), is almost impossible, but how many of us saw KG (and Ray Ray) getting to BOS in Summer 2010?

I saw a possible trade rumor for Emeka earlier...I didn't post because it seemed so unreal that NOH was exploring such a possible trade, but hey....SUMMER OF 2007, BABY!

Anything could happen...but whatever path Danny chooses, I trust the man.

I'm only expecting a couple of small trades, wouldn't be against moving Ray and KG but only if we got young players and/or picks but I really don't see that happening.

I'm hoping not necessarily for a blockbuster, but for something that brings in a significant pieces (or pieces). I'd like to keep the Big 4, but I also realize that unless we're dealing with David Kahn, it's hard to get great value without giving up great value.

That said, I'd love to see the Cs get any combination of Emeka Okafor, Josh Smith, Michael Beasley, and Luke Ridnour. I want to see the Big 4 finish out this season (as well as their careers) in Boston, but I don't want this season to end with them getting unceremoniously dumped by the Heat or Bulls in the first round, and that looks like what they're headed for if they stand pat. If Danny's serious about giving the Big 4 one last LEGITIMATE shot at a title, then do it right: get them the (rebounding and scoring) help they need.

I'm hoping JO's contract can yield us some kind of help.  Lamar Odom is the only semi-realistic target I can think of.

If no one's willing to offer a rotation quality player for our expiring contracts, then I'd look to dump them or waive them and try to bring in a decent yield from the inevitable post-deadline buyout pile.  Boris Diaw is my preferred addition.
