Sorry to remind everybody but this is yet more proof that the Celtics are capable of beating up on mediocre teams, but can't beat good ones.

How many quality wins does this Celtics team even have?  Have they beaten one good opponent all season?

Hm.  I think we beat the Pacers once.

Houston
New York (x2)
Chicago
Memphis
Indiana
Orlando (x2)

That's about it. Yeah yeah no Rose takes out Chicago but that's 8 quality wins.

Houston is mediocre and a horrible road team. Knicks are mediocre. Memphis without  Allen and Randolph.Chicago without Rose, etc. etc. etc.

Houston is a playoff team in the West right now. The Knicks are not mediocre, they are a very talented team. Memphis hasn't had Randolph all year and they are the 5 seed in the West right now. Chicago without Rose is still a playoff team.

We haven't beaten a contender, probably, but we've beaten a decent amount of "quality" teams.

Bradley has gotten confidence in the mid-range jumper. Now he needs to learn how to feed the bigs on the breaks.

Knicks are sub .500, Houston like the Celts is barely above .500, Chicago without Rose is slightly better thn average, and so on. Celtics are a mediocre team.

  • KG IS THE KING
Three games in four nights essentially with two of those being OT games, this is to be expected for an older team like ours. Not worrying or reading too much into this one.

Yep.  Not representative of the Celtics overall.  Still painful to watch.

Losing I can understand. Losing like this, though, is unacceptable.

I wonder if any other team has had such a Difficult road? Reading some of the posts here,  you wold think the Celts' players worked a 16-hour shift last night in a coal mine.

The Knicks are 10-5 (I think?) since "adding" Lin, Smith, Davis to their team - three quality players. The Celtics are very slightly above average (very), I'll give ya average - our definitions of mediocre probably differ. In any case, my point is that we've won 20 games this season and I would define 8 of them as against playoff teams, which is 40% of our wins. I'd say it's fairly incorrect to say we haven't had any quality wins, even if non have been perfect.

I'd like to see Johnson in the post. Let's use the next few minutes to work on his post moves.

If 3J keeps this up he'll end with the team high for rebounds.
