I'd either ship JO out for pretty much any big as long as they promise to rebound and foul.  Didn't he turn down off season surgery on this wrist?  Just like he did with the knee?

If Kamen is going to walk, what will they take for a partial season rental?  JO expiring and..? I'd be happy to throw dooling in the package as he really doesn't offer more than bradley or moore who are only going to get better.  Even if we were to loose Kamen to fa it would be better than what Oneil has done for us.

As for the comparison, Diaw's more like Toine than Sheed, only with a Rondo-like aversion to shooting.

I would have thought it was impossible to compare a person to Antoine Walker while saying he doesn't like to shoot. I guess I was wrong.

It's a shame that Toine's chuckery became his defining characteristic.  I loved his passing skills at the forward spots.

Detroit & Ben Wallace might be up for this.  He says he is retiring after this season.  Nice for him to be back in detroit but would he want to come to the celtics for a partial season and make the playoffs?  We could use his rebounding and I'm sure it wouldn't take much to get him here.  He might not be the defensive force he once was but the man can still rebound.

The offseason surgery would have necessitated a lengthy rehab process that might still have forced JO's retirement.

He opted against it, thinking he could manage the pain. He's facing the same options right now. I wonder if he's changed his mind.

ok that changes it a bit, he was trying to get 1 more year out of wrist as the surgery might force his retirement than I'm fine with it

.....As opposed to what?  He's essentially been retired since Danny signed him.

Sarcasm aside, I doubt any athlete would choose to spend what could be the final year of his career rehabbing an injury, instead of opting to play through it.

  • Rondo = Good

I view Diaw as a Toine/Scal hybrid.

Is that supposed to convince me he'd be a good addition?

You wouldn't want Toine's versatility and court vision combined with Scal's defensive intelligence and restraint?  If pudginess and weakness on the boards are necessary side effects, so be it.

Anyone that plays as inefficient as Toine can take a hike.
