I have a feeling Green will be here next year..maybe on a 1-2year deal..I just dont see teams throwing tons of money at a guy who missed a whole season and they dont know how he will perform.

he'll use next year as a Contract year IMO to prove his worth to the league...and I think the Celtics are in a real solid position to be the team he does that on.

Yeah, I don't see teams throwing him more than the mle for one year with a team option for a 2nd year. He is obviously worth more than that, but he isn't Michael Jordan coming back from heart surgery, he is a borderline starter. I love his game, though, and hope he sticks around.

I hope Jeff comes back to the Celtics next year. I really think he fits with Rondo very well. He is a smart player, can shoot, is very fast and like Wilcox will get some easy buckets on the break. It's an underrated part of his game that I think will show if Rondo and him get consistent minutes together.

I thought I saw Jeff Green yesterday during a timeout but was surprised the ABC announcers didn't mention it.
Really?  I find the announcers they use on national broadcasts to be complete idiots.  The only recent Celtic they'd recognize in street clothes without someone handing them a note is Shaq.

Yeah, that was that bum.  Looks like he'll be filling a cheap roster spot next season

Nah, he needs to give basketball a break.

Permanently.

Don't take it so personally; I promise he isn't trying to harm you or any other Bostonians, nor should his presence on the team be a direct correlation to the way you feel.

Green isn't getting better than a year from ANYBODY. And that year is not going to be worth a lot of money. He had heart surgery. He'll have been away from the game for a full year. Veteran's minimum.

Sorry bro.

Whilst I agree that the offers wont be flying in, if he is fit and cleared to play he is worth more than the minimum.

Pietrus is a known quantity, and Green shoots a little better and is taller. ...but Pietrus didn't have open heart surgery. I like Green to B. Bass - a $4M/year player, when healthy. WHEN HEALTHY.

This play is the biggest problem we ever had. Look who's running for the rebound after Pierce took that shot, and look at KG giving so little [dang] about it. Ooh, I made a pick, may as well just stand here and not even bother to turn my ankles around.

Lucky shot, Pierce missed ton of those. Green won't help us much in these situations.
