Dooling, and two 2nd-rounders (one of those Top-55 protected picks the Kings gave us for Marquis) for Hickson works.

According to

Marc Stein

from ESPN.com:

You can't like their chances here given J.J. Hickson's season-long struggles, but sources say that the Kings are shopping Hickson hard before the March 15 trade deadline, hoping to salvage something from the last trade consummated before last summer's lockout.

I've always liked Hickson, and he put up 14 and 9 (in 28 minutes) for the Cavs last year.  He's not signed beyond this year, so we don't have to commit to him if we don't like what we see.  If we decide to move Bass in any kind of deal, he might not be a bad option going forward.  The kid can really hit the glass.

I like this to replace Bass if he's needed to facilitate a bigger deal for a big piece.

If we can get beasley and hickson for dooling, jo and picks it will have been a successful trading deadline.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I don't think Hickson will come THAT cheap.

Cheap, but probably not that cheap.

No interest anyways. Don't like em.

What do you think he would cost? I think he can run fast and jump high, like a younger wilcox.

"shopping hard...hoping to salvage something" does not equate to "dump"

They would likely rather just hold on to him and hope to sign and trade him in the offseason than take back a couple late 2nd round picks for him.

He also plays defense like a young Wilcox.  That said, this team does need a 4th big, especially if JO is traded/lost for the season.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Hickson is quite possibly the worst paint defender in the NBA.
Stay away from this chump. Check out his defensive numbers if you have access to them. Absolutely terrible.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Nah--can't have a 60-something % FT shooter on the team with Rondo and Howard!  ;D

it's funny to think that this is the guy that the Cavs didnt want to send to Phoenix in a potential trade that would have had Lebron and Amare playing together in Cleveland

Remember anything is neogotiable when it comes to Dooling....

We can take a bag of dirty gym towels,  or Hickson.
