the next few days would be the real test on how far this organization is planning to move forward, towards the postseason or just contend for draft picks..i am a sucker for keeping this team and make a final push, but it seems we are close to seeing the last episodes of the big "4" altogether..the market has given hints of talent available in odom and beasley..both are similar in many ways, aside from being obvious southpaws, they are both headcases which can ultimately affect chemistry and team bonding..as i see it odom has already treaded the path beasley is passing now..odom has already the pedigree of being a champion and beasley, given to the right team could be a contributor..so if you are to choose one, odom or beasley?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Looking long term, I go with Beasley. He's younger and provides much needed bench scoring, something Odom cannot do as well. Granted he does not play respectable defense, but I feel like a couple of games with Kevin Garnett will help him pick it up.

If we decide to make one last run for a championship, I go with Odom. He has no upside, but you know exactly what you'll get from him. A guy who can excel at running play sets, dribble like a point, and bang like a big. He can help with rebounds more than Beasley and is better overall.

If I were to choose only one or the other, I would go with Beasley. He has too much potential, and would be better to pair up with Rondo than Odom.
I like Marcus Smart

Odom is the better player.  He is the way to go if you want to win this year.  Beasley is better for re-building.

I'd go Beasley if Ainge can get a solid role player, ideally a solid 7th or 8th man big (ideally Reggie Evans). I'd go for him even if Ainge gets someone like a T-Mac or a Reggie Evans.

But we don't really have much of a choice do we... Hopefully both options are available because 2 is better than 1.

beasley & its not even a question, odom gave everything he had last season & i really suspect he has nothing left as far as being an impact player

beasley is still only 23 & has a great upside

needless to say, its really a tug-o-war of the "now" and the "future" between the two, very interesting each and everyone's take on the matter..

Beasley because he's younger. Both come with baggage but there's no way anyone in Boston wants to deal with that Kardashian BS.

Not to mention...
