I just dont understand...

If i had 14 million dolars, there is no way, not even a chance that i would go bankrupt.

You need to remember that a lot of these guys have no sense of financial responsibility and budgeting and never had anyone to teach them about it.  Just because they are suddenly getting paid a ton of money doesn't mean they will know how to be responsible with it.  If anything, a large amount like that would cause someone to be even more careless because they feel like they won't run out of money no matter what they spend.  Look at Antoine Walker, Allen Iverson, etc.

You could very easily run out of money if you aren't smart with it.

Bipolar's can be very impulsive when it comes to several areas.  Unfortunately, one of these is money.

Bingo. My son Is Bipolar, and for the longest time before he was diagnosed we couldn't figure out what he was doing with his money. As soon as he had any he spent it and never had money for his bills. He would buy presents for friends or buy himself whatever he wanted at that moment. Now that we understand a little better we're helping him with his money, but he'll still impulsively buy something he doesn't need that get mad at himself after.
And it's not something that you just take some pills and it's cured. It's on going and life long, so give the guy a break.

Doesn't he have an ex-wife and legal bills?

I guess in a way the break he got is being in the NBA and Cuban making calls for him and having 3 therapists. Most people don't get that.
I don't think anybody is saying he's a bad guy. It's also a little too bad he left early for the nba, because now he doesn't have a degree to fall back on either
