"Game 4:
4 minutes 28 seconds 87-81

Game 5:
2 minutes 28 seconds 84-81

These are scores in the 4th period and time left in Games 4 and 5 in 2011 versus the Heat. The Celtics were ahead in both games and Rondo was hurt, playing with one arm."

So close, yet so far.

Me thinks if we had kept Perkins we would have had the edge against Miami and gone on to lose to Dallas in the NBA Finals. Instead we lost Krstic to Russia and Jeff Green to heart problems. And further more we lost our leverage to possibly engineer a Rondo for Chris Paul and Perkins, O'Neal plus Glen Davis to Orlando for Dwight Howard. Then we add pieces like Reggie Evans to shore up rebounding.

I was more upset last year of trading Semih Erden and Luke Harangody to Cleveland for a bag of SWA peanuts. Now I have picked up Semih Erden for my fanatasy team with the intention of starting him for his double double he will put up against the Celtics.

What are you guys thinking about trading Rondo to the Lakers for Gasoft? Come on people, Rondo is a better rebounder than Gasoft and five years younger. And the day you trade with the Lakers is the day I plan on retiring to Bazaar, Kansas to become a cattle rancher and oilman (Hmm sounds like a good idea, now that I think about it - move to the middle of nowhere and quietly fade away from sports).

What is Leon Powe doing these days?

Shaq says the Celtics missed his inside presence??? Buddy we had to work against it for 18 years and it was not much fun.

Greg Oden might be waived? He probably will never play basketball again. As bad as things are here, things are far worse for Portland. My ex Brother in Law keeps harping on the curse of Micheal Jordan.... I guess they will next win the championship in 2063 when the great-great-great Grandson of Bill Walton will lead them to the NBA championship.

Me thinks if the Celtics fail to mount a winning streak tomorrow night, Danny is going to hire that auctioneer from Amarillo to trade his cattle. Then Bob Ryan and Dan Shaugnessy will tell the Celtics to relocate to Amarillo (Listened to that Country hit "Amarillo" on the way to work this morning). I was going to meet up with Antione Walker for dinner at the Big Texan when Boise travelled to Amarillo for the Western Conference Finals of the D-League in Amarillo.

Tommy's to all who volunteer their random thoughts heading into the 2nd half.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
