In 18 minutes of good shooting? Well, that's a good sign. Means with good shooting maybe his positives outweigh his negatives.

Time will tell.  According to Synergy, the guys he was responsible for covering also scored 10 points, in 9 possessions.  That's pretty bad, and it evened out Gerald's contributions (and that's without looking at rebounding, etc.)

It's going to take 10 games or so before we can draw any useful conclusions.  10 points is a nice debut, but ultimately, it won't matter much if he's giving up 10 on the other end and isn't rebounding.

Idk....would Shawnee Williams have done lots better defending Mavs swing men? If he did would he have scored on them?

I saw some of the 4th quarter (after he'd scored all his points) and in the couple minutes he played:

- he nearly had an offensive rebound mid air put back dunk in traffic (that wound up being an offensive rebound anyway but not converted into points).

- he had another mid range jumper go in and out (good shot, shoulda been a bucket)

- the announcers sounded pretty fired up on his minutes

- he looked aggressive (for Gerald) on defense

The yahoo depth chart has him listed as the starting sf and Shelden Williams as the backup pf. It has DeShawn Stevenson as the backup sf, but this is a bit moot because Shawne is out for the season now with a bad shoulder

bottom line...the Nets are mmmmmeeeeeesssssed UP

I read that Howard had ruled the Nets out until he had dinner with Gerald Green. Now he'll stop at nothing to end up in Brooklyn.

Gerald took him to McD's or did he splurge for Taco Bell to show him Brooklyn's ethnic side?

Never trust Yahoo about anything.

Never trust synergy either....
When the word means nothing, the stats behind it are probably meaningless.

I hope Gerald succeeds.  Good start for him. +2.  Johnson is probably a good coach for him.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
In 2006

22:00 minutes    Rebounds 2.6   Assists 1.0 points 10.4

I will compare his 10 games stats with this one
at least for now hes improving his asists by none and rebounds by none  and points by mmm... one per 22 minutes

What difference is between 2006 GG and 2012 GG ?????
only time will tell

As pointed by IP his flaw was always the Defense and defense seems to not be there yet.

He took him to Red Lobster. He's a classy guy, mayne.
