Rondo + Garnett/Dooling expirings + JuJuan Johnson + $2m for Bogut, S. Jackson, Udrih + Jennings. Saves Bucks $20m next year. Who says no?

Um, the Celtics?  I guess it's refreshing to see trade ideas that aren't slanted heavily in the Celtics favor, but this one seems horrible for us.

So basically we trade to become the Bucks?

Jennings and Bogut are nice and all, but Bogut has a ton of trouble staying healthy, and Jennings is a streaky gunner.  Stephen Jackson seems to have fallen off a cliff in the last year or so.  Not to mention our starting PF would be Brandon Bass.

Once again, we see that you just can't expect to reload on the fly.  Building a contender takes time.  Once your core is done, you have to start building again.  These "magic bullet" trade ideas -- and this includes the Rondo for Gasol trade, to some extent -- are either impossible or wouldn't do enough to put this team back into contention.  They're all just desperate attempts to stave off the reality of rebuilding.

I had the same thought (about becoming the Bucks).  I would do Rondo, JO, JJJ, and the Clips pick for Bogut, Jennings, and Ilyasova.  If that isn't enough, I'd throw in a few unprotected 2nd's too.

Simmons clearly must really like Jennings a lot because he is the centerpiece of that trade.

one of the worst trades ive ever seen proposed simmons is getting sad with these ideas, if DA ever did this I'd hope he'd be immediately fired...

good example of a trade here that would turn us into the bucks/pistons for years to come. Don't ever become a GM Bill...

May I say no? If Bogut can stay healthy then there will be at least a discussion.

Speaking of the Bucks, I'd trade JJJ + 1st round pick for Ilyasova +  2nd pick. I want that dude rebounding for us.

Can we, as a planet, trade Bill Simmons to another galaxy, and possibly even dimension?
