Is there just 1% chance hope this can happen?

After this season KG & Allen drops from our roster so we kinda can sign 2 new superstars. What needs to happen is that Dwight Howard becomes a FA and don't make a sign & trade deal now. Is there just a lil chance dwight considers signing with us if he becomes FA, i say yes.

- Dwight Howard will sign in FA to the Boston Celtics
- Deron Williams makes his way to Boston as he follows Dwight Howard.
- We got Rondo AND D-Will IF this happens we can trade Rondo to upgrade the PF spot. Trade Rondo for Paul Millsap makes sense for both teams. Maybe even Pau Gasol or another good PF although few are available.
- Resign KG for 1 more year and maybe Allen i dunno
- Resign Jeff Green

Deron Williams - Jeff Green - Paul Pierce - Paul Millsap/other PF - Dwight Howard looks pretty CHAMPIONSHIP!
And then a bench with KG and maybe Allen and some cheap players.

Dropping KG and RA isn't enough to sign DH AND DW.  You'd have to let PP's contract go as well, one way or another.

You think so? And what if we drop maybe Brandon Bass and if we trade rondo for like Millsap we save like 4m aswell. Maybe your right about Pierce his contract. Just would love to see Pierce arround that group for 1 more year!

Well, his contract is only crap to the extent that it is unclear where it goes after this year.  He has a 17m player option next year, so he probably negotiates a max extension. That makes it a crap contract only if you think, as you do, that he is 'crap'.

By most accounts, he is an in-his-prime NBA star -- top 10-ish talent.  Only CP and DR can claim to be in his league as far as PG talent goes.  He can shoot, pass, handle and can hold his own defensively. 85% FT shooter and 37% from the 3.  He's got decent height at the position too.  Please explain why you think he is crap.

+1

Deron Williams is such an alround player, really like him. He doesn't really have weak links, he is a clutch guy aswell, experienced. I would take him any day. He got a size and strenght advantage against almost everyone on his position! He got a great basketbal IQ aswell.

I think D-Will's contract is fine next year.

deron williams is too slow

rondo provides much more value than deron.

C`s make 2 trades by tomorrow for some good scorers to come off the bench and help the BIG4 out. C`s trade Dooling,Moore, & Daniels to Phoenix for S.Brown. C`s trade Pietrus,Bradley,Pavlovic, & 2nd round pick to Milwaukee for S.Jackson then waived Center J.O`Neal. By Monday C`s sign G.Arenas,E.House, & G.Green for 1 year more shooters more Championships.

That's quite a dream.  I wouldn't want to wake up from that one!

I just really hope Howard stays till a FA. And then why not!? Is it just that he doesnt wanna travel through snow in the winter?

We still got 2 allstars, if KG resigns for 1 more year then imagine 2 of the top 5 defense players in 1 team. Would be crazy! And then on the last part, what other team can he possible go to what makes sense? Yeah Dallas Mavericks, that would make sense aswell.

Why does anyone all of a sudden want to sign Deron and trade Rondo?

Rondo is faster, plays better defense and his is always pass first and is unstoppable when he gets into his agressive mode, let alone Deron has nothing on him when it comes to cutting to the rim. And he is still developing...

Deron plays for one of the top 5 worst teams in the whole league,  which is also the worst defensive team in the past 15 years. He is their first scoring option and is mostly a ball-hog unless Lopez or Humphries are under the rim. He relies heavily on his shooting, which will sometimes fail. Rondo can have a crappy shooting night but he'll never fail at layups and assists and that's what keeps this team going.

Plus, Deron has a huge, crappy contract that prevents teams to try and trade for him. The Nets see their future in him, and they would rip every team off gladly for Deron. His stats are highly inflated since he's on a very, very bad team, as I've said up there.

Even if they gave us Lopez with Deron, it would still be a rip off if we gave them Rondo. And I'd hate to send an excellent player to rot in a miserable team and waste his career, like Deron is wasting the past year..

Don't jump on the freaking bandwagon, look at the wider picture.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

My wildest Celtics dream might be Pau Gasol and Dwayne Wade becoming Celtics in the off-season and Boston driving a dagger into the hearts (if they exist) of both the Lakers and the Heat by winning a championship with players that each team was willing to discard.

It would be awesome to win a title in a way that would be one of the more painful to LA and Miami fans.

I'm all for letting Dainge (Danny+Ainge, kinda sounds like 'danger' lolo) do what he can. Him and Doc are great, they will inspect all options.
