He's third in the poll as well, right after Reggie Miller and Don Nelson.

I really hope this is the year Bernard King gets in.

I hope not.  Guy was all NY hype.  He was nothing but a one-dimensional gunner who scored a lot of points on crummy Bricks teams.  Hate hearing NY honks to this day pimp King out.

If Pitino gets in, who's in for organizing a mass protest and heading down to Springfield? Can we rent a few rioters from Vancouver as well? (ok, maybe we don't do THAT but you get my drift.)

I feel a little like this

Feel a little like what?

Obi-wan screaming 'NOOOO' watching his master die? Or Qui-gon taking a lightsaber to the gut?

I go with the lightsaber to the gut.

Godforbid a Knick gets in, huh?   ::)

Guy was a heckuva scorer and explosive as heck.  Bounced back from a nasty injury and still managed to put 20+ ppg in 4 of his last 6 seasons.  Named to the "next 10" list and one of the top SFs in the game much of the 80s.

Roughly 22/6 for his career isn't too shabby either for a guy who nearly crippled his career at his peak and managed to bounce back and play at a pretty reasonable level for another six seasons, bad teams or not.  Personally, I think if not for that injury, he'd probably already be in the HOF.

Fun one to watch.  Certainly understand the debate, though.

Rather see King in than Miller. Too many coaches in already imo.

If James Worthy is in the HOF, then Miller and King should be in there, too. Minus Magic, who would you rather have, King or Worthy? James Worthy should be thanking Magic until he dies.
