I realize this will never happen because it is a complicated 4 team trade, but I really think it would be of a benefit to all 4 teams

Boston - Omer Asik, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Jordan Hill
Chicago - Ray Allen
Los Angeles - Luis Scola, Rajon Rondo, Kyle Korver
Houston - Pau Gasol, Ronnie Brewer

Boston gives up its starting backcourt, but gets a younger more athletic version of Allen in Martin and 3 young prospects, including 2 big guys to take a look at.  Budinger could probably be swapped out for Hill if that is the route Boston and Houston wanted to go.  Seems like a lot to give up for Rondo, but I think the trade better positions Boston going forward.  Seems fairly obvious why the other teams would do it.  Draft picks could also be in play.

Trade also could probably be positioned without Chicago and with Boston keeping Ray Allen, but would require a lot more pieces to make the salaries work.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

my biggest issue is with houston. I haven't watched them play but isnt losing Martin and Scola and adding Gasol kind of a lateral move? Who would they still have to start with Pau?

Trade is pretty bad for Boston and Chicago. I can't see either team doing it.

Unlike a lot of Celtics fans, I really really like Kevin Martin and think he's a heck of a player. I would love to have him on this team. That being said, we can get more for Rondo and Allen than this.

Good move for Houston if their simply looking to shake things up.
Great move for LA. Pau is on his way out anyways.
Chicago could get more, but Korver is worthless when it comes to trade value.
Boston could definitely get more for losing Ray and Rondo.

The only team I see really improving in the deal is LA and that's a non-starter right there.

I can't really see how it is both bad for Boston and Chicago.  I mean if Asik is that good that it is a bad trade for Chicago (lets be real korver and brewer have like no value), then shouldn't that be a good trade for Boston in getting such a solid young center, Kevin Martin who is a better, younger, more athletic version of Ray Allen, in addition to two other solid prospects (Hill might be better than Asik in that regard as he is younger and putting up better numbers).

Rondo

Boston -- Rondo, Ray > Kevin Martin, Asik, Dragic and Jordan Hill

Chicago -- Asik, R.Brewer and Korver > 36 year old Ray Allen

Honestly, this all looks pretty good to me. Chicago doesn't get much out of it but they don't give up too much either. I'm a fan of K-Mart.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

I think K-Mart, Dragic, and Jordan are better than Rondo and provide a much better base going forward and we both essentially agree there isn't much difference between Asik and Allen.

Boston doesn't do this trade because it's the kind of thing that leads to middle-class purgatory. Kevin Martin is expensive next year and damages Ainge's ability to add difference-making talents.

Kevin Martin costs the same as Rajon Rondo

This I agree with.

People haven't given up on Jordan Hill yet?
