Always thought he was an underrated franchise player. He give Pierce some good battle through the years. Could he possibly be Boston as a destination? (1 of 6) teams he's talking to. If anyone right now is a good future Pierce replacement would definitely be him. Thoughts?

Where did you get that Boston is a potential destination?

I didn't say Boston was... I said could Boston possibly be (1 of 6) teams he's talking to? We have the money to resign him next year to a longterm deal. This year all teams besides Orlando I believe could only sign him to a vet minimum unless he resigns to Denver. He'll get 2 million there also, but wants a bigger contract next year extended.

Sorry, the way you'd worded it, it looked like you were saying Boston was one of the six teams.

As Who points out, the Celtics have no money to sign him this year. Toronto has the most to do so.

Love him, Great teamplayer.
But Denver would match anything that we offer.

Boston wouldn't be an option this season, however, he could be an interesting target in the summer if he signs his qualifying offer (or another 1 year deal).

I think he is a very hard player to project, because he played most of his career in a system that boosts stats, but he could be a very interesting option at 7-8 million a year or something.  He is a guy who could concievably outplay his contract.

I'm sure he'll be looking for 10 a year.  Somebody will probably be foolish enough to give him that, too.

It's very possible.  In which place, good luck to him.  But, he is a guy I would look at as a potential value signing, if he slips through the cracks a bit.

Wilson Chandler is certainly possible in a sign and trade, isn't he? I'm not sure what Denver's cap situation looks like, but he's a player I wouldn't mind shipping a guy like Ray Allen out for. Not sure that Denver needs Ray or if that's anywhere near enough, but it's a starting point for a potential 3-team deal.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

I think the window for sign-and-trades for this season has closed.

I have a feeling Indiana is going to use their available cap space here.

If Chandler resigns Denver would be overloaded with their wing depth...

Afflalo, Gallanari, Chandler, Brewer, Fernandez, Faried, Hamilton & Harrington.

That's way too much. I expect the nuggets GM to receive lots of phone calls over this All-Star weekend.
