First, Jeff Green. I mean, sure, I'm really glad they discovered it before its too late but still...

The Chris Paul trade didn't come our way (and I'm actually kind of glad) but of all the teams, the Clippers. We could have used the old Clippers with the horrid management for our pick.

Injuries...Paul Pierce, KG, Wilcox and Dooling...that's to be expected. But Bass? I was always under the impression that he's healthy as a horse.

On a smaller level...50/50 balls have been going our opponents' way...tonight...OKC that hot from downtown? I know you make your own luck on the court but...

I'm not superstitious...maybe a little stitious...

effort...effort...effort..luck comes in on the last second of a very tight game...the first 47:59 is all about effort...

  • Rondo = Good
If our luck is bad, it certainly isn't as bad as the Portland Trailblazers' luck.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
They were on fire, but they were getting some WIDE OPEN looks.
D.Cook, Durant and Harden don't miss open looks from three like that very often. I think they were 8-12 or something in the first half.

Our biggest problem was the benches garbage display of defense today. Words can't describe.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

our  string of unfortunate incidents ended in the 80's and 90's with the untimely demise of two great guys destined for great careers but cut short by freakish incidents..len and reggie could have extended celtics domination on those eras..

More minor than that but even vet min guys. We heard reggie evans say alot of nice things about the Celtics and he is a rebounding machine, then he goes to clips.

Now pryzbilla is going to blazers after we had been linked to him. Maybe we weren't going hard for him right now don't see why we wouldn't be tho

This whole season should never have happened. KG, PP, RA all believed the season was going to be cancelled and spent more time politicking at the union hall instead of training on the basketball court.

The Jeff Green thing was sad but hey, at least we have hope he can come back healthy and be a key contributor for us in the future. If not, then we can chronicle the curse of Kendrick Perkins for the next 86 years.

Rondo is our ticket to the future, or IS HE??????

Is it fate that Austin Rivers is destined to join his father in Boston next year?

January and February are historically bad months for the Celtics and then the energy improves in March, April, May, and even June if they make it to the Finals. The season started on Christmas Day.

The Celtics real window of opportunity was shut at the Perkins trade. They had a good thing going and could have challenged Miami and Chicago for the EC championship, but it was Dallas's year and a well done to Mark Cuban and Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry, Rick Carlisle, etc.

There still are 34 regular season games to make our luck. Let us hope that the Celtics do just that.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Jeff Green not dying is more of a miracle in my book.
Guys not being in shape for the season isn't exactly related to luck.
We didn't have any pieces to get CP3, and honestly neither did the Clippers.
Refs are bad every year, we don't have the hustle guys to get the 50/50 balls right now. No Tony Allen or Eddie House type hustlers out there.

Maybe I took the topic a little too literally, but I don't think luck has anything to do with it.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

Some bad luck?  Sure.

More importantly, we just have a very un-balanced roster.  How you put a team together without a player that has the ability to take the ball to the hoop successfully is beyond me.  You can't win in this league that way.  Combine that with a team that is completely unable to rebound a basketball and I'd say we're not doing half bad considering...
