Half the league can't even be traded until March 1st. What difference does it make if he trades them now or in two weeks? I'd rather him take his time and find the right deal.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey

the teams low value and expiring contracts... though I do agree we should use the deadline to get additional first round picks and restock in the draft

Obviously he's not being offered anything better than expiring contracts which we already have plenty of.

It's not like Danny's scared to pull the trigger

The team is going to make the playoffs, and nobody is going to want to give up anything of value to take on KG or Ray, so why bother blowing it up? Ride it out, enjoy a playoff series or two and hope for the best in the off-season.

Other teams are probably trying to low-ball us.  Ainge is being patient to try to drive the bidding up.  I am sure he is working hard.

Bottom line.  We are still (barely) a plaoff teams.  And we've got lots of draft picks and cap space as soon as next year.  We also still have our amnesty.  So it doesn't make sense to trade someone like Pierce or Rondo for other team's scraps.

Patience my friend.  Patience.

I wouldn't be so sure...I'm sure some contenders would give a rookie and a pick or something like that for Ray and we could get something respectable for Rondo.

I think you're really overvaluing Ray. I think he's still a good player, but he's not the kind of player that teams are going to fall over themselves to trade for.

As for trading Rondo, that wouldn't exactly help us going forward in any way unless we got a star player for him.

LOL making the playoffs actually hurts us more than it helps us. We need a lotto pick this year more than we have EVER needed one in the history of this franchise. So Danny BETTER trade pieces before the playoffs because there is literally no reason to let this team make the playoffs.

Your telling me a team like the Thunder wouldn't trade their first round pick for Ray Allen if they could fit him under the cap?
