After March 1st,

Orlando trades:  JJ Redick, Turk, Ryan Anderson, Dwight
Chicago trades:  Deng, Boozer, Noah, CHA future first

So, Chicago essentially becomes the old Orlando Magic with Derrick Rose at PG instead of Jameer Nelson, plus a bench of CJ Watson, Redick (if Rip starts), Korver, Gibson, and Asik.  Is there any way Chicago says no to this?  This team would be dominant.  The only problem I forsee is that they have nobody to guard Lebron now.  But if that's an issue for Thibs, then they have assets (package Korver + Gibson) that they could easily put together for a Lebron defender.

Orlando essentially becomes the old Chicago Bulls with Jameer Nelson at point instead of Derrick Rose and a weaker bench.  Not a great team, probably an 8th seed.  But, they get 3 quality players who they could build around or trade, what's likely to be a good future draft pick, and unload Turk's contract.

To make this more appealing to Orlando, they could include J-Rich's contract in this deal and take back Ronnie Brewer's shorter contract.

Finals Starters:  Jason Kidd - Reggie Miller - PJ Tucker - Al Horford - Shaq
Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

I don't think I really like this trade for either team.

Not even Chicago?  I think it makes them dominant.  Picture Orlando now (a very good team @ 21-12 along with very good records in past few season) with Derrick Rose at point guard plus a considerably improved bench.  They could start the two most dominant offensive players at their positions in the NBA in Rose and Dwight and surround them with lights out shooters in Redick, Turk/Korver, and Ryan Anderson.

I think it doesn't really put Orlando in a better position moving forward, and it changes Chicago's identity so much.

At the least I don't like it as an in-season trade, because Chicago is a contender as they're currently constituted, and I don't think they'd have enough time to gel for a playoff run if they made this trade mid-season.

I actually see Gasol coming to CHI in exchange for boozer maybe perhaps another piece to the puzzle (korver or someone else). Only real trade that CHI will make this year if its going to happen.

I actually would like this trade for the Bulls. Basically being the Orlando Magic but with Derrick Rose is a pretty [dang] good team.

This simply prolongs the inevitable.  If we blow it up, I hate to say it but let's maximize the value of any picks we have and tank.
