I think it is such nonsense to say Rondo can't lead a team. Do you guys forget PP getting thrown out of the Indiana series in the early 2000's. Hell ,PP got thrown out of the Miami series last year.

People were trying to run PP out of town after the whole head bandage scene in the Indiana series. Rondo is a top 20 player! He makes everyone on the team better ! Why not try to build around him? it will be so exciting and he has championship experience!

Yes I would trade Rondo for Deron Williams or another top 10 -15 player, but to me it makes no sense to trade rondo for 75 cents on the dollar like some on cb are suggesting .

Keep rondo unless you can get a top 10-15 playe or a top 5 draft pick in next years draft

He is not the blight that some portray him as and for the most part I agree.  We would not have won in 08 without him taking over games in the CLE and ORL series.

You mean 2010 and I will give you cleveland but that orlando comment is sheer madness, he made ONE great play on that diving strip and that is all anyone remembers.

PP carried us that series on offense his true shooting percentage was almost 80 and his pps was 1.75. Rondo was basically played to a stalemate by nelson.

And he was a big reason why the lakers could cave in their entire defense on us.

but without him, we dont make it that far...its a team game. you cant blame one or two players...

fact is, we have a 26Y/o electric Pointguard to build around at a reasonable price...he's not being paid as a star...I would rather try to attract talent to play with him rather than go the washington/Toronto/charlotte route that isnt exactly proven to work..

So to summarize, Rondo is not a star, but the team will move him in a heartbeat if someone is willing to offer a legitimate star in exchange. Where exactly is the problem, again?

The problem is: what if we can't attract talent to play with him?  Then we do become another washington/toronto/charlotte.  Think Toronto:  one very good player, but far from superstar, and a bunch of other OK players.  That's what we'll be.

There is no quick rebuild unless we sign a star with all that cap space or maybe two.  Get it into your head now and it will hurt less later.   Rebuilding sucks and takes time.

I dare say that RA and KG are no longer stars more role players nowadays given their age.
