Just FYI there's a first team all nba rookie in NJ with 18 points right now

Pretty sure Irving and Rubio have the Rookie Guard spots sewn up on the first team. Also, FY!, he wouldn't be playing over Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.
Just because Doc refuses to play the best players doesn't mean he isn't a better player than JJJ or anyone else.
refuses to play the best players?   :o    exactly what player on our bench is better than KG, PP, Ray or Rondo?

I'll go along with Doc not playing rookies or young players unless he has to but he will play his best players until they're run into the ground.  that's his problem.

Except for every 5th game or so when Rondo finally blows up Avery would be the better option since he will play defense.

You forgot this "player" named Jermaine O'Neal.   Is Pietrus capable of playing defense and doing something other than just sitting around waiting for wide open 3s on offense? That would make him better than Ray.

All those times KG is out with a "personal matter" JJJ is better. But Doc still won't play him.
If you're stating Pietrus is better than Ray and JJJ is better than KG and that Bradley is better than Rondo, you'd be the only one and I'm ever so thankful you aren't the talent evaluator for this team.
Well I'm not exactly saying that, but I am saying the Big 3 suck.
I can at least meet you part of the way on that -- they definitely aren't close to what they used to be.

Durant is the best scorer I've seen in a long time.

his versatility reminds me a lot of George Gervin, but with a bit more power to his game.

Strange game. But I'm actually more optimistic about our team now, than I was before. Not very logical, I know :D

If they consistently played the style of play they showed in the second half, we'd win a lot more games.

It's going to be fun to watch the Thunder make a deep run in the playoffs this season.  That is one heck of a team.

Westy gets an incredible boost because he is on a team that has sooo much more....options, which, at the very least spreads the floor and opens lanes more....

He's a 2 guard starting on a terrible team. He's not better than Ray or Paul and thus wouldn't be getting substantial minutes.
Can he run the break?  What would happen if we had him instead of them? Have horrifically embarrassing losses? Oh wait. We have that now.  If we were to call the Nets and offer PP or Ray for Brooks and salary filler they'd laugh for 3 days straight.
exactly what GM running a franchise that's rebuilding trade a rookie SG that has potential for a 36-year-old SG?

you're not helping your argument that Brooks was a bad deal or that he'd be saving the franchise if we kept him.  if JJJ was getting as much playing time as Brooks, he'd have similar numbers ( granted, that's an assumption on my part but JJJ has shown he's more than capable of scoring when given minutes).  Put Brooks on team where he'd be stuck behind a top HOF starter and a backup that's played like a 6th man candidate and he'd be sitting just like JJJ.
It depends on what Doc you believe exists right now. If you believe he's the old Doc that gave minutes to young guys like Baby and Powe and Rondo and Perk and Delonte and Tony Allen, and Gomes then you think Brooks would be making a difference.

If you believe as I do that he wouldn't play a rookie or a good player right now unless someone puts a gun to his head (Danny. Where is your gun?) then it wouldn't matter if we had the 3rd best rookie in the league and JJJ may be the 4th best but we won't know

over/under Thunders scoring 120 pts

For those keeping score, it was close with 119.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Garnett with 23/13/2, Pierce with 23/8/5, Ray with 21/7/2 yet we lose by 15.

Must be a first for the big three.
