...when men who are healthy and in the prime become not healthy and not in their prime.

...when the Lakers win even when they suck.

...when people who can't appreciate greatness, comment on greatness.

...when Yankee fans prove even they have a brain.

...when those without inside knowledge and expertise think they know more than those with inside knowledge and expertise.

...when the Giants win Superbowls.

...when the great and excellent become mere mortals.

...when Aaron Boone and Bucky Dent hit homers and David Tyree make catches.

...when those that strive to inspire do nothing buy inspire a lack to strive.

...when people actually think that a team made up of Lebron James, Tyson Chandler, Paul Millsap, Chauncey Billups, Wesley Matthews, Brandon Jennings, Gary Neal, Mike Miller, Boris Diaw Chris Singleton and Mohammed Nzar can't win a fantasy draft over a  team made up of Andrew Bogut(hurt forever), Amare Stoudemire(serious headcase and no defense), Kyle Lowry(the most over rated PG EVER), James Harden(a guy so good he can't start on his own team) and a bunch of guys who would limit LeBron James to 28 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds a game.

...when the most willing to shout and be negative give more voice than those most willing to talk and be positive.

...when .....

(fill in the rest with a serious and a joke and if you can't tell which is which, even better.

When your coach plays your old, broken down center more minutes in a blowout than your young, first round draft pick?

When your starting center goes down in Game 6 of the NBA finals and in Game 7 Knick Bavetta and Joey Crawford send Kobe Bryant to the line time after time and bit player Metta World Peace hits the only Big three point shot in his career in the last minute of Game 7.

When you veteran Mid level free agent finally flips the switch in Game 7 of said NBA finals only to walk away and take up cap space for two more years.

When you inadvertently shut your own window of opportunity by trading the same starting center to Oklahoma City for a heart patient, a defector, and a low 1st rounder.

That Bob Ryan is going to retire.

That your favorite college basketball teams are finally doing great after you move away (Wichita St, Kansas, Missouri).

That you move to a city that lost an NBA franchise and that franchise is a top contender for the NBA crown.

I just keep coming up short here. But hey, at least I have a Stanley Cup to pee in if I have had too much to drink.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Wait, are we still venting about CB Drafts of year's past?  Because I think I've got a gripe, when a team that features Derrick Rose, Zach Randolph, and Carlos Boozer can't even make the Finals.  ;)
