I still think AI can still contribute much to any team, he loves to return to the NBA and prove he can still be valid.

I do not know, AI is still better than many players in the league, he may well leave the bench and score 15 points, 5 asist, I am sure of this.

Dooling, Moore, Bradley?? Do you think they bring more than AI?

The answer is no, I repeat, AI wants to return and he deserves one last shot, there's nothing to lose, a workout.

I really do not care what the press say about AI, this has always been the same.

If AI returns to the league, he will want to do well and prove to everyone that is one of the largest in history, hall of fame.

Please, Iverson is not Marbury, he's a hall of fame and legend, and deserves more respect around the world.

4 times top scorer in the league, 11 time all star, 24000 points.

AI is not Marbury, please.

Sorry man, but Iverson is one of the most overrated NBA stars in the history of the game.  The guy was a chucker.  Shot 42% was never a real point guard (too many turnovers).  He had success one year in a fluke year when the Eastern conference was garbage.  At this point you'd be way better off with Gilbert Arenas.  Seriously.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If you're just interested in selling tickets and providing some drama... might as well just sign Dennis Rodman.  I bet he can still grab more rebounds than Jermaine O'Neal.

Rodman is still alive, right?

I haven't checked the sewerage system of the needle exchange center this week, I'll get back to you.

Regarding the topic, it's too little too late.
He'd become another scapegoat.
We need youth, size and talent.
We could get these three things for Dooling, Pavlovic and JO I reckon.
Who's with me?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

This......

We're too old now.  What is the point of add an over the hill, over rated, malcontent, chucker?

People need to let go of fixing this team with band-aides.  The only thing that is fixing this team is a time machine.

Allen Iverson last averaged 14-4 as a cancer playing 30 minutes for losing Detroit and Memphis teams in 09-10.  He did not make their record any better by being there.  The Memphis franchise immediately improved upon his dismissal.

Expecting him to take a year and a half off, return at 36, play less minutes on a better team that already has Rondo and Ray, and somehow score more points and tally more assists is wildly optimistic.

Also, we are near the tops in the league in FG% and our small man rotation of Rondo, Ray, Bradley, Moore, Dooling, Pierce, Pietrus is just fine.  We are near the bottom of the league in rebounding, we need athletic young big men.

If Iverson got more athletic and gained about a foot in height over the last year, I say go for it.  If he is still 6'0, what problem does he solve exactly?

Please no more nostalgia pushes.  Iverson and Arenas are out of the league for a reason.

Can anyone name a single time where a former star was on the waiver wire for a long time with no team interested and came back to make an impact?  A single time?

I say our new lineup should be Magic, Jordan, Larry, Malone, Olajuwon.

Do you know what you're saying? AI is pound for pound the best player ever, their numbers are there and their deeds.
Memory Please do not understand some comments, AI will be a hall of fame and one of the best ever, his last years will not tarnish his career.

It's funny, when people compare to Rose Iverson, please, the best crossover in the history of AI, Lin .... Please

I think people have not seen much of AI, they are guided by what the press says it's a shame.

The AI only need a workout, the NBA today is a shame.

AI is one of the most selfish chucker in NBA history.

The only way he made it to the finals was Larry Brown built a defensive team around AI of guys that would still play hard without seeing the ball on offense during one of the weakest years the East had.  (AI had to get past the juggernauts of Vince Carter's Raptors, the Bucks)

He had amazing physical tools, but he was about one thing, AI's stats.

Why not this ship is sinking so why not send it straight to the bottom with a washup?

I say we try out AI got nothing to lose rigth?

Iverson has 36 years, that I know, we need young guys also know.

But we need annotation, the bench, Dooling, Bradley does not contribute anything, AI can score 15 points and give 5 asist, I'm sure off the bench, this should be considered Ainge.

Ainge is time for a call to AI, at least give him a workout, as the Lakers with Arenas.

There is nothing to lose.

How about your credibility as an actual basketball franchise? Don't we have that to lose when we are older than dirt and lacking basketball talent and try to add a guy that will make us older and less talented?

Last I read AI was so good he was thinking of playing in Venezuela.

Not the NBA.

Not the Euroleague.

Not the Chinese Basketball Association.

You know, the three best professional basketball leagues in the world.

No he's not even playing in the NBDL.

HE'S WAS THINKING OF PLAYING IN VENEZUELA!!!!

Yeah, dude must have some serious skills left!!!!!!

SMH!!! Unreal. You know what. Just because you loved him as a teenager and wore his jersey because he was all gangsta like back in the late 90's and early 2000's doesn't mean he still has the same skills or that the NBA is still in the having solo/chucker makes a team mode.

You say his last years will not tarnish his career so obviously you know his last years were spent being a cancerous quitter who cared more about his own numbers and desires then he did about what was best for his teams.

Why is the world would you think he would be any better now after being out of the NBA for two years?

Iverson is done.  He wasn't even that good at anything other then chucking when he was at the top of his game a decade ago and was never a player who showed himself to be conducive to a winning situation.  He quit on his last two NBA teams because he didn't agree with how his employers felt he should be used.

How do you think it would work out if you went into your job and said, "I don't feel like doing what you want me to do today"?  You'd get fired just like Iverson.
