Draft: i would LOVE LOVE to see us draft austin rivers im hoping we trade up for him being that we'd likely have a close to lottery pick & the clips pick maybe have to throw in bass & or avery ,hopefully a pierce trade to a conetender happens he'll be a great fit for memphis rudy for paul? even more of a pipe dream would us to land a pick as well

Offseason unless we get dwight & or deron (after trading rondo of course) we should sign guys to 1-3 year deals not anything huge (see detriot) so we can have felxibilty in the future to take on contracts of good players or FA in the next few seasons guys like jennings, tyreke will be RFA

what would you guys like to see done draft night/offseason?

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?

First off, why would we want Jennings or Evans if we had Deron Williams...?

And Why the heck would Memphis trade Rudy Gay for a 34 year old has been?

better yet why would deron williams or DH want to come to Boston.  Every Celtics fan thinks all these superstars are coming to Beantown.  We're not getting Rivers either.

Money talks and the Celtics are set up in a better situation than most of the teams in the NBA that are stuck in salary cap hell...this could be why.

"unless we get deron or dwight" plus evans is a SG playing as a PG
i was wriitng that assuming we do not get deron

& becuase if zach comes back & they cant co exist chances are they move rudy for someone that does co exist memphis is a team on the rise 1 right move can make them title contenders, pierce isnt a has been i just really think he has no motive to play hard for us ,anyone notice after he broke the record everything went downhill? maybe playing for a ring brings him back

Mark Cuban is a bigger spender, and the Mavs will have cap space.

True, but on the other side of the coin why are people automatically throwing away the notion that DH12 would come to Boston? Better yet why are people throwing aside the fact that the above scenario could happen as well. You have to remember that in 2010 the Knicks were going to sign LeBron and Bosh and the Bulls were going to bring in Wade, people were so sure of that. Look what happened...the truth is we don't know anything and all we can do is speculate.

I'm not saying this scenario is happening or its even a great possibility but it still is possible.

The Heat had enough space to sign 2 max guys and could go over the cap to keep Wade. If you think about it, wasn't that far fetched to begin with.

Everyone here is in doom and gloom mode right now, that is why people scoff at the idea of us actually being a better squad next year.

because Dwight has repeatedly indicated that he cares about warm weather, playing in a big city, etc.

Boston doesn't offer anything that Dwight has reportedly indicated he's interested in.

and can someone explain to me this obsession with blowing $20million Deron Williams?? for the price, I really dont see an upgrade from Rondo...plus hes shooting 43% compared to rondos 55%

you could use that extra $10million to sign a real nice player

Most of these guys have homes in LA or Miami anyways. Basketball, last time I checked is a game that is played indoors on the NBA level. The reason people think this is because the last time Boston was a semi attractive destination for free agents, Gaston owned the team. Gaston was the same owner who did not allow the Celtics to employ more than 12 players for a season because he was too cheap. The whole warm weather thing is BS.

I'd be happy if we offer big contracts to javale mcgee and eric gordon. Other possible free agents I like are Batum, Mayo and gerald wallace. I'd love to take a flier on Greg Oden.

If we continue to play like  we are now we could have a lottery pick. Thomas robinson is probably out of our range but I would love to get patrick young, then grab austin rivers with the clippers pick.

I'm not saying this team is a contender but it wil be fun to watch and a young team that can grow with rondo.

5- Mcgee
4- Robinson/Young
3- Batum
2- Gordon
1-Rondo

That's assuming all of the big three are traded or retire, after the year. Batum could be replaced by Green, or Wallace , Gordon could be replaced by Mayo. This is a team I would love to watch grow.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
