They have aging stars, an explosive young point guard, a great coach, and a bench consisting of young guys and veterans. Why are they winning consistently and were not?

Well, a week ago we were winning 9 of 10.  But, truth is the Spurs are playing more consistently than the C's.  C's may still have as much talent as SA, but haven't found the offensive chemistry with Rondo and Pierce/Allen/KG this year.  Note: Lakers also in a similar boat to C's so far.  Maybe Spurs just all-around are built for a slightly longer window than the C's.

Duncan, Manu, Jefferson, and Parker are better than Pierce, Rondo, Garnett, and Allen.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Their best player is a 29 year old in his prime; ours is a 33 year old past his prime.  The "old age" comparison isn't a fair one when you look at it in that context.

I'd love to meet them in the finals to settle this.

That would be my favorite Finals matchup ever . . . but it ain't happening (for either team).

Yup.

Spurs are built for the regular season(sounds stupid, I know).

Duncan isn't the same player on either side of the floor.

His name is Greg Popovich.

Every year Coach Pop gets the most with least amount of talent. Spurs rotation this year have 3 second round players, and 1 un-drafted player. Manu missed signifact portion of the season. Timmy's only playing 27mins a game. Greg Popovich is best Coach in the NBA.

Might settle the KG/Duncan debate?
