How have the Knicks won 8 out of 9, missing Melo for all of those games and Amar'e for 5? How does San Antonio have such a good record missing their best player for half the season? How do other teams seem able to suck it up and win without their stars?

We actually had our best streak with Rondo and a bunch of other players out..

The Celtic in me.

But they can't win without KG or Pierce.

Kg and Pierce are our most important players on defense and offense, respectively.

Also are team is awful on offense which makes every game a struggle unless the opponent is truly repugnantly bad.

Coincidence that Pierce played the best basketball he's played in several years when Rondo was out injured?  And the team's offense actually looked NBA worthy...

Oh man, you're missing all our Centers getting lots of fouls! You'll be sorry you missed that.

Well, the C's were 9 of 10 with Rondo out for most of those games.  Bottom line though is that it seems that SA is just a better team right now.  Knicks are hot and may/ may not keep it going after Melo returns.  Bottom line is that the C's seem like a team that will go through good and bad stretches if the team is not broken up.

Agree 100%.

KG is still the heart and soul of this team, and it's not casual that PP stood out when Rondo was out.

This team is begging to be broken up.  Fire sale at the trade deadline.

Maybe -- but probably will only be broken up if DA gets good value, not fire sale value.

This is Rondo's team now. Pierce needs to fill a lane and run. Also, moving a bit in the half court could help too.

If they keep up these dejected performances, I wouldnt rule it out.

I think that's just a testament to Doc's crappy rotations. Yup, I'm really not liking what Doc's been doing.

I don't think Rondo is a leader, and I think he'll never be. I would never start a rebuilding process around him.
