Ray is a great shooter, I love Ray, but he does not fit this team as currently constituted.

Ray is best when someone else creates a shot for him and all he has to do is finish. He has lost a step so his running of screens is not freeing him up in the same way it used to. His current style of play (shooter that needs someone else to create his shots) is a luxury that will push a good team over the top. It is not being fully utilized on this team.

My thought would be a trade centered around OJ Mayo for Ray Allen, they would have to include a guy like Arthur (out for the season free agent after) to make salaries work. On Memphis Ray would be much more valuable than Mayo is because they have shot creators. Both Mayo and Ray are free agents at the end of the year so it would be beneficial to both teams.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

oh for ray may be intresting but i agree on trading ray , its too much pressure on paul to be the only pure scorer on this team

I think you'd have to kick in a draft pick for Memphis to make that trade.  It looks like the Grizzlies will be over the cap next season even if Mayo walks, so they have no reason to take on an expiring contract unless you expect them to sign Ray Allen to a multi-year contract.

i wouldn't mind a ray for kaman trade but in respect to ray, he should be traded to a contender not a a horrible team like new orleans. but honestly i want paul george to be the new face of the celtics .

I think it was floated out last year, but I would take Kevin Martin for ray.

Martin isn't great at anything but scoring, but that's what this team needs at this point.  He can hit the 3 and get to the line.

ray would fit in well witht he grizz since they have NUMEROUS scoring options & guys that can penetrade the basket which would leave ray open for what he does best

Jermaine O'Neal, Ray Allen, and a first-round pick for Martin and Scola might get your foot in the door.  I think Houston would like the opportunity to clear salary to make a run at Dwight Howard plus another free agent.

My point is, given their cap situation, I think it makes more sense for the Grizzlies to try to acquire a player who they see being with the team beyond this season.

I was looking at trades last night, I think KG is almost untradeable.  PP and RA are move moveable.   Who would want JO and I am in the Rondo supporter crowd.
