So, let me get this straight...when rondo Doesnt look for his own offense and chooses to distribute..hes being passive and we are losing because he isnt looking for his own shot.

when rondo looks for his own offense, its rondos fault we are losing because he isnt getting Ray or pierce involved and in a rhthm ::)

it seems Rondo can never win with the fans here...and the sad thing is some want to drive a young electric player out of town for the likes of dalembert/pau gasol..

maybe, just maybe..our problems are because our big 3 are too old to be consistent on a night to night basis...we need production from at least 2 of our big 4...and Pierce/Ray were non-existant tonight...you cant blame rondo that pierces shot wasnt falling and ray wasnt getting open

tp for this one.  Rondo was basically unstoppable for most of the game.  When you have a player playing that dominant, that hot you GO with them.  We do that all the time when Ray has it going.  Somehow people think that this same approach isn't valid if it is Rondo.

PP can be a great distributer, play smart D, rebound, and help out in other ways.  That is what a captain / great leader does.  He doesn't need Rajon to spoon feed him so he feels involved in the game.  The other big 3 need to take it on themselves to make a positive impact.

Yep. Rondo has got to be the only player who can put up 35 points on 55% shooting and get blamed for a team's loss.

Yup...this tweet by RedsArmy pretty much sums up my thoughts on this issue:

I officially give up. I. GIVE. UP. Rondo officially can't win. 1/2 the people criticize him when he scores, the other 1/2 when he doesn't

I'm sure the same could be said about Dwight, Kobe, Lebron, Westbrook, and Melo. That's elite company.

The fact Rondo has to play fabulous for the C's to even have a chance speaks volumes. At this point the C's are fortunate to get two of the Big 3 going most nights. I love Ray but he would be coming off the bench for most teams right now.

ppl love paul, so they want someone to blame when as expected his skills decline, if rondo was on the team in the late eighties ppl would have blamed him for birds back and mchale's foot.

I don't think the blame is all that crazy either. All we're looking for is 20 points, 20 assists, 15 rebounds, 3 steals, and less than 3 turnovers a night. And he should hustle on every play. And every time he gambles on defense or with a risky pass it has to work. And obviously we have to win every game so he needs to make sure everyone else is hitting their shots and playing tight D.

Don't lump everyone in the same sack... I don't blame him for the loss. I just point out that as great as he played if he's trying to carry us we will lose much more than we win. When your PG is your best offensive threat, it takes everyone else out of it because it never gets in anyone else's
hands. To win a championship you have to have your studs be at the 3,4, or 5.

Someone had better tell the Bulls that they're totally screwed, then.

I'm sure people would find a way to blame him for it now.

Everyone is really pretending that Ray and Paul were wide open and hitting all the shots they were taking, but Rondo just decided to be selfish, keep the ball to himself and keep taking jumpers even though our number 1 and number 2 scoring options were hot. Yeah. That's what happened tonight ::)

Why is it so hard to say that Ray and Paul SUCKED tonight and SOMEONE had to score??

I agree but that's not this teams MO. We don't rely on our point guard. We rely on our 2,3 and 4.

But tonight the 4 was out while the 2 and 3 may have just as well been out with him.

So now what? Someone has to fill the void. Which is what Rondo did. SMH.
