That's on the fan.

You're two grown men.  One doesn't get a pass because he's in the stands and the other is on the floor.

100 % agree....
I have zero sympathy for fans who can't control their mouths......

baseball players have to take it because there is no way for a player
to access a fan.  But if baseball fans could come down to the field and stand
about 30 feet from from players and yell at players from there,
you'd have all kinds of verbal back and forths and near-fights....

I don't see why fans should get a free pass as if they live an alternate universe....

LeBron would get his butt kick from anyone who knows how to fight.  Most NBA ballers are posers and would get owned in a fight.  They flail about like kids not throwing straight punches.  There have been exceptions like Kermit Washington and Kareem but those are not the norm.  Sure they are big and athletic and can hurt you most definitely but a skilled fighter would tear one of them up.  I bet he would quit after one hard punch but then most guys I have punched have done that or been knocked out.

I couldn't find anything on the internet about a fighter named Bob Moore...

Yeah, totally depends on what the "fan" said, imo.
First world problem. Never get involved in a fight or disagreement between two whiny little wussies

Thanks

I still think they would pee their pants if someone stood up to them in a forceful manner.  Watch on court they really don't go at one another just posture.

As much as I despise the messiah....When "fans" talk to players like this...They should be banned from any NBA arena....Or the messiah should have Eddy Curry sit on the jerk.

<samsim> I heard about this guy who broke into a lion's den at the zoo
<samsim> and got mauled
<samsim> and people were talking about how there should have been better defences put up to prevent people getting into the cage
<samsim> a friend of mine suggested setting up some kind of deterrent
<samsim> for example, putting some sort of fierce animal in the cage, which would attack anybody who climbed in
That's what talking trash to LeBron is like, to me. It's just stupid.

Agree 100%. If you want to trash talk lebron, sure, go ahead. He'll probably ignore you. But if you go over the line why shouldn't you expect him to talk a little bit back?

Whether or not this fan was over the line, I don't begrudge James at all for responding how he did.

I don't care how terrible a fighter he is, a 6'8", 250 lb well-built man is not going to be physically afraid of an average Joe sitting in the stands.  They don't go after each other (or fans) because of the significant repercussions involved, not necessarily because of a fear of physical altercations.

Wasn't he a tight end in high school? I think he can take getting hit.

I imagine any UFC pro could take him down, but he has such a reach and strength advantage over the fans who typically yell at him that it would take a lot of training for them to be able to defeat him.

Hah. I've only ever punched one guy, and that was back in high school, and I'm still best friends with the fella.

Why would Lebron over-react like this and lose it IF this was just a rumor????
