Stan vg is a good coach his always had a winning record and has made it out of the 1st round of the play offs every year except one.

I love JVG has an announcer, I agree very insightful and not afraid to speak his mind.  Thought the broadcast team was better with Mark Jackson though.  Just JVG and Breen doesn't have as good of banter IMO.

I think SVG is a good coach too, as ozman pointed out.  And also when SVG speaks in interviews and stuff, he also sounds like he knows what he talks about and not afraid to speak his mind.

I like both the Van Gundy's, bigger fan of Jeff though.

Well if we had to choose one for a coach I wouldn't hesitate and pick jeff.  They both seem to know basketball and both speak their minds (nice) but I don't like stan as a coach, doesn't mean he isn't good I just don't think his game plan is much better than Obie.

Van Gundy likes to make sweeping proclamations for which he has little supporting evidence.

Earlier in the game today, he said that the Celtics supporting cast has "declined each and every year."

Obviously he was not watching this team in '08-'09.  That was easily the worst bench of the Big 3 era.

The guy has been to the finals as a head coach. I'd say he knows what he's talking about.
I'm a fan because he says it how he sees it, doesn't sugar coat too much for TV either.
Very knowledgeable basketball mind particularly on the defensive end.

Jeff's comment about the Heat having no problem cracking the 72 win mark was one of the dumbest things i'd heard in a while but besides that he clearly knows his basketball and is very insightful. I also agree that he was better off with Mark jackson in the mix they had a nice dumb and dumber complex goin there.

I like them both because they are humorous.   I don't listen to a commentator as gospel so his statements don't bother me.   But one thing I like about JVG he will call out the refs when they blow a call.   Not many of those who work for the NBA do that most of them are boot licking suckups.
