if we had been on the single round a day with my pick scheduled for when I was available (like last week), I never would have pulled the Noah/Mcgee swap--it's not a comparable talent swap but it was the best deal I could get that would enable me to move today's picks.

In hindsight, would it have better to just punt on today's picks, and made them this evening, rather than downgrading from Noah to McGee?

Also, I think you did fine trading a 30 year old, perpetually injured bi-polar combo guard for a lottery pick.  I love Delonte, but I think that Jimmer has a lot more value in the long term.  I was surprised he fell as far as he did, rookie growing pains or not.

No doubt.  I thought the trades were win-win-win.  Chicago wanted to get younger.  Check.  Detroit wanted better shooting and a reliable SG.  Check.  Boston wanted a combo guard who can play great defense and who will move the ball.  Check.

I can see the defense at the 5 with Shelden.  Is that really your guy while Varejao is out?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

haha.

Nick/Roy's up. Round 10, Pick 1. Apparently they're deep in thought over just how good Brian Scalabrine would fit on their team.

I think nick is waiting to hear back from some potential trade partners before deciding what we do here.
