danny's got a tough job, but he needs to be as aggressive as he can to get a starting quality center.. the C's just put together a stretch of games where they showed they can still compete and are still hungry.  they still have a very realistic shot to do some damage in the playoffs, but if JO is our starting C (it will be a miracle if he isn't in street clothes come playoff time) we are gonna have problems.

The C's lost because:
1. The big 3 are still conserving their energy and being careful not to incur any injuries before the finals.
2. The back-up front line lacks fire, length and offensive firepower > lacking Perk, PJ Brown and Leon Powe.
3. There is obviously a void in the SG and SF position whenever either Paul or Ray is on the bench - offensively and defensively > lacking James Posey and Tony Allen.
4. There has to be an equally confident and reliable back-up PG who can defend and take the scoring cudgels anytime the big three is at a slack or slump > lacking Eddie House and Sam Cassell.

To sum it all up...it's not the big 3, but the bench who are not responding when needed... :'(

agree with everything except #1

More importantly... Jermaine O'Neal's corpse is our starting center.

I don't think it's just Jermaine. We pretty much know where he is at in his career. Rondo has been playing subpar basketball, and has shown no improvement this season. He still is afraid to drive to the basket due to the risk of being fouled, and he still has a shaky jumpshot.

Who was the more entertaining team to watch in our last game? The young, hustle-minded Toronto Raptors were. Yes, we were waxed by the Raptors, with Rondo running the show, getting the shot clock down to six, then looking for the big three to play bailout once again.

I have a vision of that video being played on a loop in the C's locker room.  Get. The. Ball.

Yeah, I haven't been able to see the games since Rondo's been back, but I believe he's looked bad.  But my point is that, short of him getting injured, (which is definitely a possibility), Rondo is the least of our problems.  He's been our most important, and arguably best player for a few years now, and it's impossible to believe he won't get back to that soon.  We've lost the last 2 games for a multitude of reasons but rebounding has been critical.  We need a center, ideally one who is at least somewhat competent defensively.. we might need 2 if JO goes down, but that might be asking too much.

Those videos are so great.  Russell had such an amazing athlete's body.

Someone better tell them they may not make it there unless they start picking it up.

Winning 9 out of 10 every other month should get them to the postseason.

Yep but trouble is they did not do that the first month and have an issue with teams with winning records.

Is because we can't rebound? We're blaming anyone, anybody but dose did anybody noticed we got out rebounded the last 2 games.

It was obvious against the Lakers, now the Raptors out rebounded us 42 - 34. Thats 8 more possesions for the Raps which I think they capitalized.

How about instead of blaming people, get this team to rebound better...
Honestly when it comes to why the Celts lost a game (they should have won) I'm at the point I don't think too deeply about it any more

This dreaded "LOSS FUNK" was comming ...for either the Celtics or the Lakers... one team would win and go on to win many more, the loser would fall of the "I believe WAGON" and then go though a horrible losing streak.

It was a critical game , something to build on ,  losing to LA has screwed up all the energy and team spirt.

So this Raptors games was a guareentee loss.  I didn't watch , caus e I knew what the result would be.

IF  DOC , DA, PP and KG and doesn't get their team heads screwed back on , they will lose another 3-5 games in a row

The LA game killed their groove.
