it has been proven time and again, if he wills it, we win it..we are in a funk, a bad one lately because we are overdoing our plays, which in turn is so predictable...rondo slows the pace, waiting for a set to develop until we are so pressed for time in turn resulting to offensive futility..we don't need a new PG, rondo is just fine, he should push it some more..this is also a call to doc's predictability on his sets..right now,the celts don't need any new player to save the team, ubuntu is enough to save them..

We need rondo to be a much better player than he actually is.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
He does. But that's the problem. I think he does not want to, because he wants out of Boston. His lack of aggressiveness is speaking for it. I think he wants to be traded, after Danny alienated him when he included his name in the CP3 deal. That's just me, but I so no reason why he's playing soooo bad.

Something is going on.  Watching Rondo playing tonight may me think that a trade was imminent.  I would not be shocked to see something go down before the All Star break.  He acted like he had already checked himself out.

When rondo plays aggressively, hes truly one of the best PGs in the league.  When he plays like he did last night (passive), its always disheartening.

I have been one of the people throwing cold water on the Rondo hype all along (and called all sorts of things including stubborn) but I dont' think Rondo is as bad as he as been lately.  I agree that there is something going on that we don't know about but my theory is that he is still injured in some way or that mentally, he is thinking about injuries (or maybe a little of both).

The imminent trade trade theory is a possibility as well.

Rondo is not the only problem lately, but he is a big part of the problem.

Rondo played specatcular to start the season...after all the trade rumors...So I doubt that is the reason.

I buy into the Injury factor though...but, I mean the guy has played bad for what a few games hes been back? he'll be ok once he starts getting back into it

Aside from the outside shooting, Lin did nothing rondo couldn't do. If he just drove in a lot, even if it means swallowing the 50-60% FT, the team would be a lot better off. Even getting someone like Gasol, Howard, or Durant in foul trouble disrupts the opponents lineup moves.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I think he is still hurt as well.   But I have never thought he was a franchise player but a good second tier talent.

Rondo is not the sole reason we lost.   It's a lot of lack of effort and poor rebounding.  It is like we have a sense of entitlement that we are going to win every game and don't always show up.  It is beyond ridiculous.

Doc lost it last night.  He clearly was yelling at Wilcox during his tirade.  Does Doc think some of our bench is unprofessional and have not learned the sets?  He clearly was not happy with the effort level the other night against LA.  Have our guys shut him out?   Were they tired?
