How many games are we gonna go watching the celtics get completely outrebounded? I've lost count at how many opposing teams' centers have a career rebounding night against the celtics. varejo had 20, gasol and bynum went off last night and now gray has 11+ rebounds. its unreal...

Look I hate to say but until this team can rebound they're not getting anywhere. Expect a big trade come March, these two games are proving why this roster won't be the roster we're gonna see in a few weeks...

Don't forget Troy Murphy's boards off the bench for LA last night.

This has been a problem since Doc has been coach.

At least they are consistent, Noah should have a field day vs them

This is not true.  The first 2 years we had Garnett (this only 2 fully healthy years) we were in the top half of the league in rebounding.  After that year, we gone straight to the bottom; I think pretty much 2nd or 3rd to last every season.

this problem has been illuminated in the year we have no true center.

False.

It's been a problem since Garnett became the only above average rebounder in the roster. And Rondo, but he's a PG and his contributions are marginal. This season the problem is even worse because Garnett has declined too.

  • Rondo = Good
The Celtics are a poorly built team -- or, to be more specific, they were built four years ago to be a well-rounded team for 2-3 seasons and haven't been able to really upgrade or restructure the roster effectively since then.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
This has been the main problem all along. not getting any possessions because we have been out rebounded pretty much every game. This is the first thing needed to be addressed. The offense would soon follow as soon as we get to rebound better.

Someone get us Ilyasova. Please.
