I don't want to be a debby downer but I think it's more than fair to ask this question.

As we all know well, Bynum wasn't around for our title run in 2008...and looking at how these teams have matched up since then, we may never know just how lucky we are that he was injured in 2008.

Sure, the Cs have won some games obviously with Bynum in the lineup...but when you really watch these and see the size mismatch over and over again with these two teams, it's just so frustrating to watch that you can't help but think what if...

what if Bynum was fully healthy for that series...

Like I said, we may never know, and I'd like to keep it that way.

BOS still would've won.

KG was perhaps the key to that series, even though Paul won MVP.

Bynum, while good, was still too inexperienced. And Perk was (at the time) doing a decent job on him.

Yes, we do.

We came within 6 minutes of a title in 2010 without Perk in Game 7, and with a lesser KG.  In 2008, with those two healthy, we would have won even with a healthy Bynum.

Yes, because Vlad Rad would still have been guarding Pierce.

And if Ariza, in addition to Bynum, had of been fully healthy and playing instead of Radmanovic?

Yes, we would have.  We were just a substantially better team that year.  Would have won in '09, too, with KG healthy.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Ariza played that series.
He was only just back from injury and not in top shape. He had been out for 3-4 months.

Nowhere near the standard he was playing at earlier that season when he first arrived in LA.

Even if he was playing at his peak, he's still Trevor Ariza.

In 2010. we came 4 points short of the title. I counted 8 fake and 8 more debatable points the Lakers got from the refs in the game 7 and we played it without Perk. With Perk we had 3-2 on them. Ende.
