Tonight the reserves will be announced for the ASG, and Pierce is most likely going to make it.

So far the Bulls have the best record so Thibodeau is the coach, now if Melo doesn't play who starts in place of him ?

Pierce, Amare, Bosh, Deng ?

Bosh does if he doesn't go.
I heard some NY Knicks fans were shocked that he even was voted as a starter in the ASG in the first place because of how the Knicks have been playing.

Well it's Thibs call as the coach, right?  David Stern picks the replacement player, but it would be the coach's call on who starts, I think.

So I wouldn't be surprised to see it go something like this:

1. Deng - because that's his current player (and his team has the best record)

2. Pierce - because that's his former player (and a show of respect to likely the most veteran player on the team).

3. Stoudemire - to go the more neutral route and replace a Knick with a Knick.

So if anything I could see Bosh being last on that list.

Pierce SHOULD because of how he's played this month, along with the teams success upon his return. Not to mention the fact that he's a 20k+ guy with a HOF resume but has never gotten to start an ASG.

It'd be nice.

Rose, Wade, James, Pierce, Howard
