Quote from: Finkelskyhook on February 08, 2012, 05:50:56 PMThere are many in this forum that thought (and even crazier yet, may still think) that signing the Jermaine O'Neal signing was a great coup by Danny....JO has been pretty good for us, though. It would have been better if he could stay on the court more, but you absolutely can't blame the 2nd round exit on him last year, for example. He played really well, even with a broken wrist.

P.S. Garnett and Bass can't really play at the 5 position.
I love Perkins. I just wish Danny didn't get as much flack for a great trade. I want to see Perkins succeed. Believe me.
I just can't help but think that ol Perk might have come in handy tommorrow night.
OP - What did Danny Ainge get from the KP trade? I told you so, Jeff Green would have a heart issue and not play the 2012 season, wasting time and money that could of been used on FAs that can play an actual game...He really told all the doubters.
Saying I told you so isn't cool. I thought he was vastly over rated here by many fans but I would like to see him do well as long as he is not playing us.
Quote from: guava_wrench on February 08, 2012, 05:24:52 PMWhile I have always been sympathetic to players whose impact is not fully captured by stats, I find it hard to ignore how bad his stats are. Was his high shooting percentage here fully an artifact of the system, a percentage he is unlikely to get anywhere else? He did shoot well in 05-06, 2 years before the Big Three. At some point it becomes hard to dismiss that statistical case that he is not the player he once was, whatever that is.I'm not sure that Westbrook is able to get Perk the looks that Rondo could. He's too busy taking 18 shots a game. I'll give some credit to the system change. But if you don't like Perk's personal stats, just look at what happened to OKC's DRtg from 2010-11 to 2011-12 (spoilers, goes from 107.2 points allowed per hundred possessions to 102.9). It's not like the team has made any huge moves in their roster besides The Trade<tm>.

So would Bill Russell, but under no circumstances would either be available for us tomorrow night.Perkins was not going to be a Celtic tomorrow night regardless of whether he was traded
