NBADL Center possibilities

OK, I really only found one that might be worth looking at:-))  This guy has range out to the 3-point line:-)))  Not much there other than another guy that looks like a Steamer clone from Wisconsin, Brian Butch.

I don't know.  What do you think about giving one of them a 10 day contract?

Scott Schroeder of Ridiculous Upside put up a list of Deuce League call-up candidates.

The centers mentioned were Greg Smith, Mikki Moore, Jeff Foote, and Greg Benson.  Smith is a guy who I would scout as a possible target in the off-season as a project big who might be worth a training camp invite, but I don't think I would sign anyone to a ten-day contract because you would have to cut someone first.

The upgraded version of Steamer is actually not bad.
He is probably better than Steamer with his jumpshot and post moves.

I just looked at their stats and the steamer clone (Butch) is a much tougher rebounder than the first guy.
Butch is averaging 12.5 rebounds and Chris Daniels is averaging 8.6 rebounds.
Go with the Butch.

I think we already have an NBDL center on the roster and don't need to waste money getting another or replacing him with another.

I really don't think we need a center with a propensity to drift to the 3 line. We need interior presence.

I agree with this completely.  With the compressed schedule, the learning curve on D, the lack of practice time any new DL center isn't going to be able to contribute much this year.  I like the chemistry that is starting to develop with our roster.

Who says its not? I would take Pryzbilla over any NBDL guy but other than him, I don't see a center in free agency that I would turn to.

I want what's best for the Celtics, not what's best for my ideological idea of having young players on my favorite team. Pryzbilla would be better, especially come the playoffs, than any NBDL guy.

I'm not necessarily ideologically predisposed to young players in the sense that I am perfectly willing to explore an older player, say 27-29, in the D League who never caught on with an NBA team and bounced around Europe, if there is such a player.  What I do have is a contrarian tendency to try not to over-rate "veteran-ness".

Anybody know anything about this guy? I like that he's 21 and a center. 6'9 doesn't really matter anymore. Hope Ainge continues to infuse us with youth.
