No way we can predict who we can beat and who we cant. By the time the playoffs come, and provided we are one of the chosen 8, we dont know in what physical shape our "perennial walking wounded" will be, and we dont know who many will become "physically unable" or "significantly impaired" during the playoffs due to the grinding nature of those playoffs.
So you can all assume that we will be in top shape and that we will beat everybody except the Heat; but thats wishful thinking. One thing is what we wish to happen, another thing is the reality of the grinding playoffs.
WE won in 2008 with everybody healthy but only after having home court advantage throughout the series and after playing a lot of 7 game series. You think we can do that again with our aging superstars? NOT. We wont get home court advantage throughout the series; JO is already limping frequently; he is an accident waiting to happen. Rondo is getting beat up more frequently every year.
Our big three could only pull it out 1 time out of 4 tries. We only had the 2008 fully healthy in 2008. Never again. So we made all those moves to win one time. Be happy for that one time cause those guys are not going to make it one more. Número 18 will be won by players that are not yet on the present team, so the sooner we start acquiring those players, the sooner we will win again. I hope I can see it happen.
