I know I know it's only a few games , but he went 5-5 against TOR, and has shown today that he can hold his own against larger Bigs, he stuffed gasol guarding him one on one and before that pushed gasol off the box by getting a lower center of gravity. He is a very good offensive player already and his J rivals Bass' J.

This way we could use Bass to try and trade for a Center . Maybe Package Bass and the clippers pick ?

The C's likely aren't going to resign Bass after this season(He will get a BBD type contract), especially if JJJ continues his development .

JJJ is going to be amazing with Rondo runninng.

No, not in my opinion.  JJ looks great, and clearly has a ton of potential.  However, Bass is our most consistent bench player right now, and is a big part of why our bench looks great.  We shouldn't give that up right now.

I'd hate to lose Bass' physicality.

I don't understand this mentality. As soon as one player shows they're good, another player who has also shown they're good all season should be traded???

I love JJJ and everything he's shown but he is still a rookie. I'm not prepared to count on him to be the PRIMARY back up 4.

Nope.

5 good big men is an asset, especially with JO's fragility and in this shortened season.

It'd be nice to see Doc get all 5 minutes and keep KG and JO's minutes down.

Plus, with the backcourt playing well, we don't really "need" anything.  Sure, it'd be nice to get a stud at the 1-3; however, I don't think Bass is going to net us players that are really much better than what we have now.

It's to try and improve our center position. I am not saying give Bass away , but just saying if an opportunity comes up Bass has pretty good value and if you package him with a 1st rounder might be able to get a decent center back

There aren't very many quality Centers in the first place, so I doubt we'd even get anything comparable at Center to what we have in Bass. Definitely don't want to trade him.

The only way we should move Bass is if we can get someone who is better than he is. Since the 5 is a position that is not as deep throughout the league as the 4 I think we would need to get a downgrade overall moving Bass for a 5. Since KG can slide over to the five with Bass in I would just as soon keep him.

I never agree with the "if you have two good players at the same position you should trade one mentality". The only definite needs are team has is a quality center and it's even possible JJJ could develop into that because he's so athletic.

JJJ and Bass have different skill sets, both are needed on this team.

Unless we can get Dwight Howard out of it, than no.

Need Bass's muscle. Both are quick and athletic. Need to Play KG at center more to be able to use both JjJ and Bass. Means that we are 3 deep at Center (J0, KG, Wilcox) and at PF (KG, BAss, JjJ).

My thoughts exactly. Not many other guys are really worth trading Bass for.

Depends.  If Danny decides we're not realistically contenders and there's a good asset out there to be had for Bass, we'll probably go for it.

Problem is that Bass is expiring and Danny's probably very reluctant to take on salary past this season, and we're playing very well lately.  But if we hit a major slump or one of the Big 4 has a major injury (knock on wood), we could see it happen.

No trading JJ and Bass  >:(

Finally some youth and energy. Its helping the seniors as much as the seniors are helping the rooks.

Only for DH might be acceptable ... ;)

Yeah. It is funny though. Predictable. As soon as a guy on the bench has a good game, trade talks.

People need to remember, most legit NBA talent will have a really good game here or there. Just because Lin tore it up last night in leading the Knicks in points doesn't mean that he is ready to be the team's primary option.

More significantly, we NEED 3 legit PF this season. When we start playing the dense part of our schedule, I cannot imagine that there will not be games where KG will need to sit. Those who don't know what I am talking about should check out schedule the last month of the season.
