I think Batum is a better player than Pietrus, and he's definitely a lot younger.  We have no shot at acquiring him this season.

That said, I'm very happy with Pietrus.

He was playing out of his mind in the euroleague during the lockout. I'm not sure about his defense, though.

Imagine the two of them playing together.  They could communicate together on defense without anyone else understanding what they were saying (unless, of course, they were playing the Bulls or the Spurs or the Mavs).
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Most of our team already speak two languages.

English, and KG.

He's quite a good defender. Much better defensive player than offensive player for now. He's gotten some NBA All Defensive team votes in the past, but I think he's a bit spotty on both offense and defense. He's a talented guy who works hard, but seems to lack some confidence and he's not super consistent. Could very well be a late bloomer who is still growing into his game. Blazers fans always want him to be more aggressive...

Its not out of the question that we make a run at him, as I believe he's a RFA this year and has some attributes Danny likes... long committed defender who can shoot 3s.
