  • GOT IT!!!
What a story this guy is becoming!  I live in China, and even though he is an American of Chinese descent, the masses are following him, and bringing in yet more Chinese to the throes of NBA fanhood....

38 freaking points tonight. THIRTY EIGHT.

Unbelievable. This guy went from bench scrub to star in a week.

I can't exactly articulate why, but watching Lin sort of reminds me of Devin Harris when he played well for New Jersey.
Maybe. Except NY is winning under his leadership.

Lin wouldn't complain about that analysis since it would mean he sticks in the NBA.

For the lazy:

Flip Murray filling in for Ray Allen in November-Early December 2003 11 game stretch:

Dajuan Wagner 5 game stretch in November 2002:

Brandon Jennings 11 game stretch November 2009:

It happens. Not impressed.  Right now nobody knows who the heck he is.  This all will pass.  Even Greg Stiemsma looked like a capable player for a few games.

Can't we all just happy for the kid at least? No one's saying he's gonna be the next top pg in the league. That said, he is fun to watch and is a great story of perseverance paying off.

i am asian and i'm proud, but all is happening too fast for lin..once melo and amare comes back, the knicks will be back on their old ways, losing that is..NY has so much in the bank for this duo, lin's time under the sun is just an injury away by these two..and by the way, include baron davis in the mix when he gets back, lin will be pushed so deep in the bench, waiting for waivers..sadly..

Sense a lot of bitterness in LarBrd33, I do, hmm?

I don't care what anyone says. This kid is without a doubt a top point guard. Will he have some bad games? Yes. Will he have some games where just nothing goes right for him? Yes. However, even with all of that, this kid knows what the hell he is doing on that court.

He literally makes his team better. He's a legitimate team player. He's a great passer, sees the floor well, he's amazing at penetrating and finishing. He can shoot mid-range and outside. The kid has nice speed, a very quick first step.

His defense is top notch, especially his help defense. It's some of the best I've seen. I'm not saying he's instantly the next Steve Nash or derrick rose, but this isn't just some flash in the pan. He's got serious talent. And, in all honesty while he has much more to prove, he's clearly better than Rondo is.

I know a great player when I see one. What Lin is doing isn't some lucky game, where a guy scores a bunch of points. HIs scoring isn't even what impresses me the most. It's his ability to manage and run the offense. It's the way this guy sees the court and passes on the pick and role. It's the smarts of this guy while playing. He knows what he needs to do and when he needs to do it.

He will have off games here and there, but that's true for even the best players in the league. This kid isn't just some fluke. He's incredible. I noticed this the very night the celtics beat the knicks. He wasn't put back in after the first half, and even van gundy was surprised by it, and so was I. He looked great ever since then.

It isn't so much about his numbers, although that's amazing. It's how the kid plays. He's smart as hell. He knows what he's doing. He will be a top point guard in this league, without a doubt. In my view, he honestly already is. When you can win the way he has been with the players that he has been playing with, that says a lot about how good he is.

I don't think he can keep up this 20+ 7assists game when Carmelo and Amare come back but I do really love his game. I think Steve Nash and Larry Bird have proven that you don't really have to be extremely athletic to make it in the NBA. The kid has a great future and I'm definitely on board.

Become Legendary.
