What I am really hoping for is that some of the lesser bench players become organizational soldiers who provide veteran continuity for the bench on a string of minimum contracts (so not Bass, not Pietrusm who are above that level).  I think a guy like Pavlovic could work out well as a fifth wing for depth who knows Doc's system due to experience in it and is used situationally but can step in as an adequate backup if there is an injury.  Since he's almost three years younger, I like him better in that role than Daniels.  Think of him as a smaller Scal who is actually athletic and doesn't have a huge contract.  Give the problems in the past of integrating new players into the team, it might be better to avoid unnecessary roster churn, even if it means passing on a player who is slightly (only slightly) better.

I'm happy with the bench, too - but IMO we need to add one more piece to it, especially with JO possibly being out for a period (Blog front page):

Eric Dampier.

I haven't heard much from him lately, but if we need a big who can rebound a bit and play some physical D, then I'd look no further.

Start Wilcox in the meantime, but I'd look to see what's going on with Damp.

Wasn't Damp given a 10 day contract just recently and is on a team? I forget who but thought I read something like that.

The Hawks signed him.
