Rondo and JJ For Tyson Chandler. He's a great fit here. Chandler and Kevin is a perfect fit. Is this a title contender if we get a Mo Wlliams or George Hill in another deal.

I think it it. The defense would be back to best in the Game.

Mo Williams has been playing out of his mind lately...I don't think the Clips will give him up easily.

What about the Tyson part of the deal great fit here or not.

Rondo is perfect for the knicks. they have no playmaking ability. He would have a perfect one two combo to pass to.

To be honest, I'd hate to give up Rondo for him.

Even though AB and E'Twuan have played well for us, I'm just hesitant to part with Rondo.

It's an interesng idea. I REALLY believe the Celtics are only a center away from another championship run. I would love this deal personally. I am just not sure the Knicks give up on Chandler just months after signing him. Too good of a player and then the Knicks fill the PG need but then have another void at center.

But man he'd be great on the Celtics. I think it's ALOT more important to have an effective center and than an effective "pass first" point guard.

I wouldn't want to give up JJ, but if NY throws in Baron, and perhaps a draft pick, I would definitely entertain it.

Wha...what?

Yeah, like Eddie said. We'd need a point guard in return as well.

I don't like giving up Rondo but this is not a bad trade (unlike giving Rondo up for Paul in my opinion).

I can certainly understand the interest in Tyson.

I'm watching that NY-CHI game, and he changes so much defensively for a team.

He even FOULS good...when he gives one up, whoever the receiver is feels it.

Place him with an unselfish team (BOS), where he'd get looks from KG, Paul, etc.

But as long as JO can stay healthy he brings nearly as much defensively. He has 18 charges in 17 games:

Plus, he averages roughly a block and a half and adds more offensively than Tyson, with his jumper.

Seeing Rondo on the Knicks for the next 5 years would highly upset me.  You don't trade Rondo to an arch-rival, you just don't.  You only deal a Top 5 PG for either a high lottery pick, or for a good young package.

I'd rather deal Rondo in a package for Cousins and Fredette, or to someone like Charlotte for Kemba Walker and a pick.

It's more important to have a Top 5 PG than a Top 5 center (which Chandler isn't even).

I would too. Cousins could be the best center in the eastern conference once Dwight heads west. Fredette is perfect to play alongside Pierce as more of a scoring PG.

Chandlers is over 30 and has only had one REALLY good year. He's an average player with nice hops.

I think that we are in fact one good center away from championship contention, but, not if we have to trade Rondo away for him.
The big 4 + Tyson, that would be a great team, but, there's no way I am relying on a overweight, gimpy Baron Davis, AB & Moore at the point guard position to get me a championship.

If your ok with trading Rondo (im not), this is a good trade idea. However, this would destroy the clubhouse again. You can only take so many family members away from a family before they fall apart.
