anyone see bob ryan on comcast sports last nite. he thinks we will blow it up cause danny knows we r goin nowhwere! yes a first round exit is nowhere! pierce is playin good and his value is as high as its ever gonna get. danny has said he won't let us slide into another 20 year funk and he has the gonads to pull a deal! we will see! i'd hate to see pierce go but if its for the better of the teams future i can definitely see it happening.

Danny ainge is NOT going to blow it up for the sake of blowing it up....unless he can get equal or better value(which he likely wont)

theres no point to jeopardize all the capspace we have built up signing and trading for mediocre players who will hinder our flexibility in the future.

you "blow it up" when:

1. you are stuck in bad contracts that will hinder you from improving for the forseeable future.

2.You can get guys of equal/comparable value/young prospects/budding star...and according to Ainge he hasnt gotten any of those deals.

so, you finish out the season..we are starting to hit our stride...and then when all those players are off the books try and rebuild.

but I really see no plus in blowing it up just for the sake of it when everyone is coming off the books in 4 months roughly

Bob Ryan is of the opinion every year that no Boston team besides the Patriots will ever win a championship, so i generally do not listen to what he says.

If there's not a star player to be had, he's not going to blow it up.
